Floofy Friday

Well it's Friday, Thank Cod! I'm so excited that my heating pad Mom will be home all weekend. I've not been able to spend the porch time I prefer and I am hoping for a little outdoor time. My floof is pretty full now so I don't think I'll mind the chill.

The only thing that ruins my porch time is Mom's whining that she is cold. If only she could grow some fur... I like the cold weather because it tends to put Mom in a semi-nap state most of the time. A few purrs and she is off to dream land. If only her snoring didn't ruin my beauty sleep.

I think she's in a funk. Maybe it was the whole thing about turning ancient.

So what about you friends, what's on your weekend agenda?

  2. Fin, I have the same problem with my mom. She's in a funk too and all she wants to do is sleep and whine about being cold. Our weekend plans....she will sleep and the rest of us will play, eat and hope she gets up long enough to give us more food. Lots of love, Holly

  3. SIF, your winter coat is beautiful and thick! I look a little scrawny now with most of the floof gone.

  4. Tell your human to bundle up in a bunch of clothes and put a big scarf around her head. She CAN do something about feeling cold, so it should not interfere with your outside time.

I have no idea what's up for my weekend, but if the sun is out, there will probably be a photo session involved. Feh.

  5. Ancient, shmancient!

Our Mommy is almost half a million years old...so yours is YOUNG!

Fin, have your Mom chase you around the yard 5 or 6 times...she'll warm up.

  7. Well, I don't have floof (sigh) but I keep my Mom toasty warm. I trained her to wear Dad's zipper sweatshirt then I get jump in her lap and we "zip in". She says I'm am worth about 8 degrees. Anyway lovely Fin, I hope you have a great weekend with porch time and snuggling. p.s. My Mom is ancient, too - oh well.

  8. Hmmmpph....well, our mom has to work all weekend long. And it's too nippy to be outside very long. I guess we'll sleep and snack a bit, but we won't let on to mom that we're content with that.

  10. My Mom has been in a "funk" the entire week. She hasn't been able to get it together AT ALL!

She also said to tell you if she hears you complain about the cold (with it being in the 20s here and no relief in sight) she is gonna have herself a little "hissy" fit MOL!!!!

She also said to have a great weekend and that she is just going to go to weight watcher's, read a book she has to review, and maybe catch some of Oprah's new network again.

    Love, Cody

  12. Fin we think this "cold" is when the mums get "on a bit" - they don't move fast enough to keep warm. Now we both sit on mum the minute she sits down and does she thank us - ha - as if!! All she does is whine and say her legs are going dead - there's no gratitude for the fact we sit still for hours on end.
Good luck with trying to get your mom running round outside!!

  13. Fin, you are right, Mom should grow some fur. But maybe instead of that maybe put on a couple of jackets. And please give your Mom this message from our Mom, that she is a mere child compared to our old lady Mom. We are just going to be trying to stay warm this week end.

  14. I agree Fin, I wish my mommy could grow furs too! But we is very glad your heating pad will be home all weekend!

  16. Our mum keeps saying we don't want to go for walks in the fields because it is too wet and muddy or it is too cold and frozen. What she means is SHE doesn't want to go.

  18. It's snowing here right now...we're gonna sit on our windowseat and watch it come down...and then maybe take a nap or two...or three...or four....

  19. We have snow, and got more today. So we think we'll do some snuggling and indoor playing this weekend. :)

  20. Cold, wet, and snowy here. Me and mom neither likes it, so I will sleep while mom watches tv. Then I will sit outside her work room and cry til she lets me in there to "help" her do her art.

  21. You are looking good! My mom is freezing all the time! She is cold right now... thinking about getting up and turning up the heat!

My mom is getting mentally and emotionally ready to return to work on Monday after she got 3 weeks off!
