Birthday Boy

Three years ago today (give or take) my sweet Quillbert came into this world. He was born into less than ideal circumstances - a litter of three to a Mom who was wild and living in the yard of an abandoned home in the Las Vegas suburbs.

He might have turned into a feral cat, struggling to survive and having to fight for his life. Instead , he was rescued by the kind Casey who saved the kittens and got them a happier life.

Quill is such a sweet boy; my shy and gentle giant. He enjoys patrolling at night and sleeping in. The boy loves his treats. He likes to dance around my legs to show his love. He likes for me to pick him up and cuddle him (which is not always easy - 22ish pounds). Often he waits by the doorways till I smile and wave for him to enter. King Quillbert enjoys making a regal entrance. When I pet him, he purrs and unfolds like a flower.

He squeaks his displeasure when the AC filters get too dirty. He rarely speaks above a diminutive squeak. He spends most of the workday curled up under my chair. He loves a nice cave to tuck into. 

He loves to chase and be chased by Greyson. He could flatten Greyson if he wanted to, but he's always gentle, even when Greyson is not. He rolls over to show his belly whenever my husband asks "Who's a good boy?" cause he knows he is. 

I love my big bear of a kitty.
