Thankful Thursday

Seems like all you hear about on the news is that everything is going wrong. It's a bit of a bummer, and I hardly pay any attention to the news. Seems to me they might be paying too much attention to what's wrong and no time on what's right.

The news says one out of ten people don't have a job, but doesn't that mean nine out of ten people do?

I thought I would take this moment to be thankful for all the things that are going right. I have my family, my home, more toys than I can play with, great friends and warm nap spots.

What's got you looking up friends?

  6. This is a great idea, Fin. We are thankful that even though dad can't be with us at the moment, mum can put him on the speakerphone and we can hear him. That makes mum smile too, and we get extra treats when she is smiley. We are thankful that we are safe inside, warm and fed, with humans who love us. We are thankful to have good friends in the blogosphere who always bring smiles to our faces and happiness to our hearts:)

  7. I loves it that you has this attitude Miss Fin!!!
I thinks that not so many people do.. Momma always taught us that we is very lucky to have food on the table, a roof over our heads and each other, anything else is just icing on the cake.
Where most people think.. oh noes they don't have a brand spanking new car "woe is me", on noes they can't eat steak this week for dinner "woe is me"..
Well, we thinks this is how the world got to where it is...
We like to see the good things too :)

  10. Praline I like to see the glass half full when there is milk in it.

I'm glad everyone is finding good things in their world.

If you are having a rough time now, I am really hoping things will turn around very soon for you. Hang in there, remember that nothing stays the same forever.

    Nice to see you VV!

I like to hear my parents on the answering machine too Forever Foster.

  11. You're so right, Fin. Our humans tend to get hung up on the bad things, but we cats appreciate the good things in life, like a full bowl, warm laps, scritches and a family that loves us.

  12. To Fin,
I like your optimism. I feel such a change in attitude among the folks of the United States. Hopefully this attitude, stating with the top guy and on down, will manifest some positive changes, it is surely overdue.
    To Meg,
How's it going? Any progress? My foot is ready, get to work!! I love you.

  13. Fin, you sound like our Mama. Just yesterday she was saying to Pop that there's gotta be day hunting out there because even though 10% of the people are staying home with their kitties, 90% are still going day hunting. She even feels a little guilty when she doesn't want to go day hunting and stay with us because she goes day hunting AND night hunting.

We are thankful that we're all together in one house, that we're IN a house, and that Mama and Pop give us lots of snuggles and treats.

Even if it's cold out and our beans won't let us go outside, it's been sunny a lot and we can look outside at all of the bright white snow.

  14. That is the right idea Fin. It pays to be positive. If you have a negative outlook on life, it makes everything seem worse than it is and then it makes you feel worse.

  15. I like to look on the bright side, too, Fin. For over a year, my Daddie was worried he would be laid off from his job. Over 6,000 people where he worked (in a bank) lost their jobs, but he was one of the lucky few that survived. So we are thankful for that.

  21. Hi Fin,

I've been meaning to stop by and say hi and let you know I want to know more about this World Domination thing...If I become Cat President, I think I would need an advisor like you and your help around the pawparrazzi. And if I don't win, I still think I could benefit by your expertise and knowledge.
