Beloved Feather

I have tragic news to report friends. My beloved feather toy has met an untimely demise. ::Sniffs::

I was napping quietly in the big bed when I heard the roar of the Evil Dyson vacuum. I was ready to make a break for the closet when I heard the horrifying tinkle of a small bell. My first thought was for my beloved, My Mousey, but I could see him safely at the mouth of the closet door.

I heard Mom yell out a curse word. I had visions of the Evil Dyson having caught Mom by the nightie as it drew her in to it's gaping mouth (it's happened). I ran to save Mom, despite the danger to me. I rounded the corner just as Mom managed to quiet the Evil Dyson into submission.

Suddenly I saw the tail of my beloved feather toy hanging from its jaw. Mom tried her best to feather from the jaws of the Dyson, but ::sobs:: it was too late. It was ripped right from its swing pole. It lay there like two slugs. I couldn't even rouse it with my paw.

Please join me in a moment of silence.

 In happier times.

Sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved feather. What a terrible way to go.

I know it's too soon to think about it, but perhaps getting another feather might ease your pain.

We think after a proper mourning period, it will be time for Feather the Third; we're very sorry for your loss, Fin...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

Oh, that is horrible! Those Dyson things should be taken off the market. They are dangerous. At the very least, they need to be tightly regulated, and all operators made to pass a rigorous test and be licensed to use them.

What an upset for you Fin - will your Mum ever be able to console you. Time is a great healer - when is your Mum going to go and get your Third Feather.

Oh Fin...we are sorry for your loss. But we also think it was very brave of you to try to save Feather even if it meant getting close to the Evil Dyson. We would never get close to our Dyson...feather toy getting sucked into it or not....

Oh Fin we are so sorry about the demise of you favorite toy. But we sure are glad that Dyson didn't eat your Mom. Good girl for trying to save your Mommy. We are having a moment of silence here for the Feather the second. That is our favorite toy too. Hope the day gets better for you Fin.

This is a tragedy. We thought it was traumatic to have the Evil Dyson at our house eat the occasional mousie...but the FEATHER toy? *deep breath* Too sad.
Mommy wants to know if some hot glue and thread might help fix up Feather the Second.

Oh no! Poor feather! That hapenned to my caterpillar the other day. Mum heard a flump and it was gone. She looked into the vacuum's tummy and saw it and was able to rescue it.

That Dyson is pure evil. It should be locked up for at least a month. Poor feather.

R.I.P Feather the Second.

So many feathers' lives cut short.
... could it be because we love you so?
... or love to chew you so?
