Tattle Tail Tuesday

Well my parent's vacation is over at last. It was nice to have them around in greater supply, but I will say it's going to be nice to get this place back into a regular routine again.

They started out keeping fairly close to the daily routine. My breakfast at 4:30 and my dinner at 4:30 but soon everything else went to heck. After my breakfast was served, Mom went back to bed and sometimes slept in as late as 8am! I know, it's shocking.

They came and went as they saw fit. Movies in the middle of the day, and trips to drive around the city at 10pm. Soon they were taking naps in the late afternoon. I had no time quiet time for Mousey.

I found getting them up to care for my needs was becoming difficult. Dad asleep in the guest room after a hard game of WWI Airplanes and Mom snoring in the big bed. I was forced to camp in the middle of the hallway and call out until someone came to my rescue.

"MEW?" Hellooooo, who will feed me my dinner?

"MEOW!" Elder grannycat starving in the hallway! I might faint soon.

Yes it's going to be good to have order restored. You can't have your parents running around like carefree kittens.

  2. Retraining the humans is always so hard! I like to get my mom up at 4:30 am too, and 1:30, 2:30,3:30...Hope you get them retrained soon!

  3. Sounds like your parents and a really relaxing staycation.

4.30am for breakfast is a little rough, isn't it, SIF?

  6. Honestly, beans can be SO irresponsible sumtimes, can't they?

  7. Whoa, it sounds like your humans were totally out of control! Admittedly, my human does not get up to feed us breakfast until around 9 am, or so, but at least we know what to expect. And that is as it should be (the knowing what to expect, not necessarily the crazy hours my human keeps).

  10. Hoomins are impossible creatures. Just when you think they are all trained....

  11. Well, it's a constant battle - keeping the humans in line. It sounds like you did Okay all things considered.

  13. We're glad things will be getting back to normal for you, Fin. Our mom is on staycation this week and it's been tough getting use to having her around all day. So far, she's been sticking to our schedule and we're gonna try to keep it that way.

  14. Humans need discipline Fin - when they aren't working it's best to give them an hour by hour schedule so that they don't start missing important things like scritches and dinners and more dinners. When you hear the word vacation again start stockpiling treats to take away the hunger pangs that you are bound to get while their drifting around in another world!

  15. It's so very hard to get humans trained. They tend to get out of order so many times and all you can do is hope for the best for them while looking out for yourself! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  16. Oh, Fin. I know what you mean about getting off of the regular routine when your humans are home for a time like yours were.

Sounds like you had things pretty well under control, though.

  17. OH Fin, you poor thing, sitting in the hall calling out. That is so sad. Anyway, you need to get them back into their routine, Fin. Good luck.

  19. Parents clearly need structure. I am worried how it will be when mine retire. For one thing I am sure I will have a hard time getting breakfast at a decent hour.

  20. Sounds like they were living the life, good for them!

  21. You poor thing! Sometimes you have to rule with the iron paw, or at least the loud MIAOW.

Our Mommy worked strange hours over the weekend and our meals were late. It's unacceptable.

  22. Really Fin, how do you tolerate living with such lazy, selfish humans? You'll need to work overtime getting your house in order.

  23. Sigh...my mom runs around like a carefree kitten...it's something about the summer. I love the sunbeams, but in the winter at least my needs come first and the laps are warm and plentiful.

Hope everything gets back to normal for you my Finny furriend.
