Lock Down

So yesterday I was minding my own business, napping in the closet, and you'll never guess what happened. Dad shut the door... and then he left the house... for an hour or more. When I was finely set free my meower was all hoarse and rough, but luckily I have other ways to make my needs known.

Of course I have spent countless hours in that closet, in a single sitting, happy as can be, but it's always by my choice. I'm free to come and go as I please. What is it about being locked in to make you want nothing more than to be out? And the reverse is true too, if I'm locked out, I want nothing more than to be let in.

  1. That was just rude and thoughtless, Fin! Oddly enough, when Binga gets locked in the closet (and that has happened more than once), she just continues to sleep through it all. But then, she is a strange one.

  2. Yikes! We think that would be rather scary, Fin. Cut off from food, water and a litter box, plus toys and soft blankets. And windows! Aaackkk!

  3. That's horrible! Bennette got locked in a closet last week. She ddn't complain too much since it was the closet that has our nip stash!

  4. RUDE!!! It is one thing to go in on your own, but not fair to have the door closed without your invitation!!!

  6. I am so sorry for your house arrest Fin! My neice was house stitting and locked my baby girl Evie in the closet over night! She took out the vaccuum and the kitty snuck in to hide. I felt so bad because for some reason Evie never said a word the whole time she was in there. Make sure your dad does what I did, extra loves and snuggles and maybe a few treats for good measure. xoxox

  7. Oh dear Fin, what a to do! My hubby shut Sookie in our wardrobe once. She was there for a while but luckilly was able to keep herself busy by rearranging the clothes and making sure they were suitably furred =^..^=

  8. Oh Fin, what a norty Daddy. We would have been over the edge, being locked up in the closet. That has never happened to us. Sometimes we get locked in the bathroom or something. WE are glad you didn't have to stay in there very long. Take care.

  9. The closet is so private and I love my privacy, but enough is enough when you're forgotten about, not nice.

  11. That was a close call, Fin. I suggest you keep a stash of food in your closet, just in case something like this happens again!
