Meg here. I am absolutely enamored with these amazing peonies I picked up for a song at Trader Joes!
Yesterday I tried to pick the tightest blossoms in hopes they would last awhile. I had no idea what they would look like under their pink frilly petticoats.
Imagine my delight! Within a couple of hours they sprung open into these amazing blooms. Of course when I took them down to take their picture it wasn't long before I had an assistant...
I can always count on Lil' G to lend a paw...
You can get a sense of how HUGE they are, way bigger than Greyson!
Greyson would tell you they smell amazing!
I nixed the taste test!
My human LOVES those flowers... but she says she has too many taste testers here!
ReplyDeleteThey are soooo pretty and lush!
DeleteThose are beautiful! We are eager taste-testers, too, so we don't ever have flowers in the house.
ReplyDeleteSo far no one has ever taste tested...
DeleteThose are pretty! But alas...the mom won't let us have real flowers in the house. Something about eating them or knocking the vase over.
ReplyDeleteWe're hoping the boys stick with ignoring flowers.
DeleteI adore peonies.. I have six of them in my garden. Someone told me a couple of years ago that peonies are actually toxic to cats, so nixing the taste test was a good idea.. :)
ReplyDeleteSix!? Mom is so jealous.
DeleteGorgeous! The Mommy just loves peonies. Unfortunately, we can't have any flowers due to a certain mancat here. *Ahem*
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
XOXO
Wonder who that is? :Ahem:
DeleteThey're gorgeous! My mother has peonies, but since they attract ants like nobody's business, when she picks them she has to wash them off first. :-)
ReplyDeleteNo real flowers here, either. I'm less concerned about taste-testing than I am about someone breaking the vase. LOL.
Until I brought them down for the pics they were ignored - so paws crossed!
DeleteGreyson, you are so sweet !
ReplyDeleteI never do flowers, but I do nip ;)
xoxo
We nip too!
DeleteThose sure look whiffin' good!
ReplyDeleteThey smell great!
DeleteGreyson, you look so handsome by the peonies!
ReplyDeleteMy grandparents had dark red and white peony plants at their home. The smell is heavenly, but what I remember most are the ants. My sister and I were cleaning up the old place for my parents, who were going to live there after retirement. The peonies were in bloom and we just had to take some home (1 hour away) with us. We forgot about the ants and had them everywhere in the car.
Boy that would freak Mom out!
DeleteBeautiful ! As Mum loves these flowers too, we have a peonies tree in the garden. Purrs
ReplyDeleteBet it's lovely!
DeleteThose are such pretty flowers. No wonder the boys want to investigate. Love the paw. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGreyson will investigate anything!
DeleteThose are super pretty! Ours are up and some even have buds but the buds are still tight, not showin' any colour yet. They won't start blooming 'til next month, I should think.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Nissy
They opened so fast once we got them home!
Deletelove Trader Joe's and those are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWe love Trader Joe's!!
DeleteThey are so beautiful. Ours are coming out now and the colour is stunning!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous!
DeleteThe flowers are beautiful. They also have Grayson's stamp of approval!
ReplyDeleteOh yes he approved!
DeleteSo nice to meet you!!
No taste test? That's the best part. Mommy grows dark magenta-colored peonies and they are gorgeous. She hasn't cut any to bring in the house yet 'cause they usually have ants on them. These are gorgeous. Enjoy! XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteAnts seem to be a reoccurring theme! Your peonies sound amazing!
