Dare Accepted

I was dared by the Cat Realm. Mr Chen had the winning dare which was to show how I help save the environment. I like to think my carbon pawprint is rather small, but here is what we do to help the world.

This is my backyard. It has what my parents like to call "Desert Landscaping" and it's what I like call "A lot of sharp, paw-hurting, pointy rocks." They installed it to use less water in the desert we live in. The next photo is what Mommy calls her "Recycling" it's what Daddy calls her "Her Crap Pile" (this is nothing, it's usually a lot higher).

Hey Mommy, I was supposed to be in the pictures too... Well Fin, you would have been if you had cooperated!

  12. We gets a lot of rain (and snow) so we don't hafta water much but when we do mom uses a barrel of saved rainwater. Oh, and our crap pile gets taken out every 3 days...it's on mom's little OCD calendar in her head.

  17. Love your desert landscape! The PM and the MM toured Arizona for their honeymoon and they fell in love with the open desert.

  18. SS just loves your backyard. Very environmentally friendly, minimalist and ???low maintenance. Me I like the damp flower beds, the soft grass and shades of various trees.

  19. Minimalism is the thing for this century I am told and your garden is a beautiful example of it. I do sympathise about the lack of softness for your paws though.

As for the Crap Pile, you should see the recycling boxes outside our back door! The paper box is good for napping in though. Very comfy.
