Dear Mr (or Miss) Sun,
I hated to bring it up, but I couldn't help but notice you are showing up for work a little later each morning. I don't mind you taking it easy now and again, but this slipshod performance is cutting into my breakfast time.
You see, I am used to you showing up around 5am, I cut back a half hour (approximately) and use that as my Mom wake up time. When you roll into work, what almost an hour late these days, Mom is unwilling to get up to feed me. My belly says it's time!
I don't really care if you're on time or not, but Mom does. So if you need a little "Me Time" I have no problem if you wanna kick off early, but let's pull it together in the morning. Maybe you could lay out your outfit, or pack your lunch the night before?

Ahh, Fin--the only kitty I know can tell the Sun what's what and how it wrecks havoc with a kitty's priorities....and to put your outfit the night before...PRICELESS!
Mr Sunshine has been doing the opposite here and rudely awaking us earlier. No manners!
Ginger is pissed too! She starts banging her paws on the door at 5am! I prefer to sleep in and don't much care the sun is slackin'.

We've been noticing that Mr. Sun has been slacking lately, too, Fin! You'd think that in this economy he'd be doing everything he can to keep his job....
oh sigh... and Mr Sun is in such a hurry to leave each day too.
My first reaction was LOL or in catspeak MOL. That's telling him.
Well, with Mr. Sun slacking off I get to sleep in as Meowza is a patient kitty getting fed when I get up to feed him.
One learns from the kitties, sleep whenever you can.
Yeah, you tell 'im, Fin! No sun for us this morning, just an eerie orange haze - there was a gigantic dust storm that enveloped Sydney and its surrounds.
You tell 'em, Finny. He'll listen to you!
You're so organized, Fin! Hopefully Mr. Sun will take your advice.
P.S. Message to your Mom from our Mom: Yay! I can't wait to hear how it goes.
And we haven't seem Mr/Ms Sun for days! Huh!

Maybe the sun should start taking its shower or bath the night before. You know, to save time in the morning?

What a great letter! We have noticed the same thing happening at our house!
That's right Fin, you tell him.Have you noticed he's going to bed rather early too, and some days he can't even be bothered to get up at all. It's just not good enough.
You know what they say, the early bird gets the worm...got one once, tastes like chicken.

Fin, perhaps you should give a tardy note to Mr. Sun. Maybe that will get his attention.

Talking to the sun is like talking to a brick wall. It's all about them! Sun has it's own schedule and keeps changing it on a whim.
You just have to focus on training your Mom to have your food ready when your tummy says it's time!
