Floofy Friday

Well thank goodness it's Friday! Floofy Friday too! TGIFF

Well the camera cord was found. {Wink}

Now on to the other problem, Mom had a very easy to use photo edit package, then she got all fancy and bought Photo Shop Elements (never loaded it cause she was a chicken). Mom's laptop broke recently and she had to get a new one. Well on the new laptop all she has is PHE, and she is fairly clueless. She cropped me, she firmed up my edges, but how does she take the wrinkles out (of the fabric - I don't have any - even as a senior kitizen)? How does she selectively color my world?

In the meantime have a great weekend friends, and thanks for taking the time out of your day to come by and visit. Your showing up here means the world to us.

  1. Hi Fin,
I bet you're happy that camera cord turned up. I know in my townhouse, that's precisely the kind of incident I'd get blamed for. Guilty until proven, well guilty.

Photoshop is not that bad. I'm a cat and I can maneuver around in it pretty well. Just tell Mom to look for a free tutorial, use the help menu alot and learn just a little bit at a time. I've even given Glogirly a few pointers.

    Enjoy the weekend.
I'm going to try to stay out of trouble myself.

    love,
    Katie

  2. Our Mommy doesn't do much in the way of photo-processing so she's even more clueless than yours. Sheesh, it's so hard to get good help. ::rolling all our eyes:: So we'll just say it's good to see you again and we're glad we got our floof in for Friday...we were worried yesterday when you mentioned the missing cord that we wouldn't get our fix!

    Happy weekend, dear friend!

    Purrs and hugs,
    The Kitty Krew

  3. Hi Fin,
I got your comment on my blog about the Cat Blogosphere, which neither Glogirly or I have ever heard about, so I googled it. WOW...I guess you and I are not the only eloquent cats out there, huh! So do I just enter my blog's url in the little box to be included? Or do I need a special invitation?

    thx!

  4. Your picture is absolutely gorgeous, even with the fabric wrinkles!

Our Mom is horrible at using Photoshop so unfortunately has no advice to offer.

  5. Fin, our mom is clueless about Photoshop...she loaded it on the computer but doesn't take the time to learn how to use it!

We'e glad the cord was found so we can see that gorgeous picture of you...and we thought the fabric wrinkles were photoshopped in to give it a cool effect! ;-)

  6. Happy Floofy Friday to you too! My mom has Photoshop Elements too, but hasn't had the time to learn how to use it yet.

  11. Hey Fin,
Even if you were wrinkled that shiny coat would hide it well. Around here, one of us is usually always guilty until a different one of us is proven guilty. Have a GReat weekend.

  15. TGIFF! Looks fabulously floofy today, Fin!

Our mom has photoshop, but doesn't know all that much about it. She said it's not very user friendly to her. Whatever that means. When she uses it, she has to google a lot of stuff to figure out what to do.

  17. Who needs fancy shmancies when you have such a beautiful and photogenic girl like Fin!? Just snap, upload and post!
Okay, so that's my way of saying I don't have any fancy software and I have no clue how to use it ;)...

  20. We use Photoshop Elements, too! My Mommeh thought the manual was too big and confusing, so she just fooled around with it to figure stuff out. And also looked up stuff through Google. We mainly use it to crop, resize, adjust the lighting, adjust the sharpness (occasionally), and sometimes the levels. Oh, and we use it for making the comics. That's the hard part: learning how to use layers.

  21. First question - were there any incriminating tooth marks on the cord - I hope not.

We don't have photoshop (too cheap to buy it I guess) we use online stuff (picnik, and some others I can't remember the name of) so we can't help out with that part.

  22. Fin dear, you're naturally beautiful. You don't need artificial enhancement.

But, on that subject, judging by all the comments it seems our lazy secretary is not alone in her failure to learn Photoshop Elements.

  23. You look beautiful! We use all Open Source software because mommy won't let any proprietary stuff in the house. Why not try GIMP? It's what mom uses and you can make it as easy or as complicated as you like!

  24. Yahoo! Another gorgeous pictures of the ever-lovely Fin! This is a good one, too. She has such large, pleading eyes. What is she pleading for one might ask?

Forgiveness for hiding the cord in the first place, perhaps?

I would suggest that you ask Ann Adamus of Zoolatry for advice on the PHE. She offered me some help, but I was even too clueless to take it.

  25. Aw, Finny, you are a beautiful lady without all the fancy pic stuff.

Our mom bought one of those dummie books. As far as we have seen it didn't help.

  26. You sure look innocent in that picture. Are you the one that "found" the camera strap? Photoshop has been on my mom's wish list for a while, but we don't have it yet. We wish your mom luck figuring it out. Your pictures always look gorgeous.

  27. Hey Fin!
You have some awesome friends! Thanks for the shout out on Cat Blogosphere. It's been fun meeting so many other smart cat bloggers. Glogirly had no idea there were so many of us. She's a little naive though. Not as worldly (or as wordy!) as yours truly.

Oh and don't worry about me and Black Cat. I can take him down to Chinatown anytime I want.

    mew,
    Katie

  28. You are so very beautiful in that photo! Where was the cord at?

Our mom has photoshop too! She uses it mostly for her artwork. There is a Wow book available that might help you with the version you have. We have both Wow Book 5 and 6. But just playing around is the best way to learn!! Just make sure your mom saves a copy of the original photo so if you don't like the results you still have the original!

  30. I'm not much for the image manipulation either - I have to have friends do it. But you're always a beautiful floofster, Fin!

  31. Hi Fin! Finally Sunday and I'm just getting around to your finally floofy Friday! Sheesh!

My mom in in the middle of an online photoshop class, so she says she now knows how to use a paintbrush to get rid of those wrinkes in the fabric. She also says there is not a single trick in the Photoshop program that could make you look lovlier and floofier than you are naturally.

  32. you are so gorgeous Fin!
Glad to hear your dad is ok and hopeful your mom will be also!!
