Now on with the show...
It's been rough here friends. Dad was out of town, so Mom and I had to fend for ourselves. I was left alone with sneezy and wheezy. It was hard to get a decent nap, what with all the moaning. There were times friends, when my mealtime was delayed for almost an hour! I did find that a gentle pat on her face with my paw, repeatedly, did the trick. Thank Cod that's over now.
Now, here is the funny part... Mom is nearly blind without her glasses which are missing! You see in her stupor, she placed them on the edge of the nightstand, and some cat innocently knocked them off while tending to the invalid. She is too blind to see where they fell. Oh my, I slay myself. I better go whap them out from under the bed or she may not be able to open my cat food can correctly.
Have a great weekend friends. Keep your humans safe, and make sure they take good care of themselves - so they can take good care of you. I really do love her and I never forget how lucky we all are to have found each other.
Oh Fin! You have more wit than any kitty should have! I appauld your script of the word. Take care of your Mom (who sounds like Tommy withOUT her glasses)-hopes she feels 100000% soon, so not to delay in her servitude to YOU!

Well Fin?! You are such a funny girl and a trickster to boot. I'm glad you know how lucky you are to have such a good humored human!

While it would be fun to play "keep the glasses away from Mom" you do have to think about you food. I think it's wise to let her know where they are.
ReplyDeleteTipper
Hope your mom is feeling better! We know what you mean about not getting good naps. Our dad was home with the flu for a whole week 2 weeks ago. We didn't sleep a wink.
ReplyDeleteLots of purrs to your mum that she get all better soonest. Mum needs glasses too, but can see pretty well without them.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your Mummy was glad have you around to keep her entertained while she was feeling sick!
ReplyDeleteThis could work to your advantage Fin! "Tuna"...means cat food...she'll never be able to read the difference.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that your Mom is feeling better. Our Mom has to put her glasses on to read. Luckily, she can still feel to open our cat food cans.
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky to have found Mom. She thinks she found us...what a silly ...

I am so glad to hear that your mom is doing better.
ReplyDeleteI love your floofy photo.
Yep, Fin, whapping those glasses under the bed has its advantages and disadvantages...and right now we think the disadvantages might outweigh the advantages...you gotta eat and if she can't open the can...well....
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your mom is feeling better...definitely due to your good care....
Glad to hear that your mom is recovering. My SS is still not quite well.
ReplyDeleteGuess what? My SS is equally blind without her glasses and I have to make sure that they don't fall off the table, otherwise she might just step on my belly.
Well, Fin, I can feel for your momma. This momma has a pair of glasses missing since 2005. The ones she loved with the pink frames. Don't know where they went. This momma is also missing a little pink salt shaker that was placed on her night stand after eating an apple while watching David Letterman. A vintage salt shaker. Never saw it again even after moving the bed and all furniture in the room.
ReplyDeleteTell your momma not to hold our much hope finding anyting...
Miss Fin, we are pleased to hear that your mum is on the mend. Being sick is not fun at all!
ReplyDeleteFin, you are a wonderful kitty... it's our job and duty to keep the humans on their toes by making them look for their stuff.
ReplyDeleteDelayed dinner times? That will not do. We hope your mum feels better soon so that you can have dinner on time!
ReplyDeleteDelayed dinner times? That will not do. We hope your mum feels better soon so that you can have dinner on time!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your mum is sick and that your dinner was delayed. There's really no excuse for that at all. None.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you both with have a better weekend! In full sight too!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your mom gets to relax over the weekend and feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteFin, you are a furry fabulous NurseCat!!! We hope your mommy is feeling better and that she doesn't make you wait for your noms!!! We hope you all have a chillaxin' weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love your Mom too and we're glad she's feeling better!
ReplyDeleteOur Mom is still a little sickly so I've been knocking her remote under the bed! It sure is fun...especially when the batteries come flying out and scatter :)

We're glad yoor mom is feeling better ~ purrs. And hope yoo get lotsa fuss this weekend to make up for the neglect while she was poorly!
ReplyDeleteWe are sending purrs to your Mom too. Don't hide her glasses to often, she might need them to find the food!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Fin, Katie here.
ReplyDeleteYou are cracking Glogirly up today. Probably because my own breakfast was inexcusably delayed this morning as well. She just stood around in the kitchen laughing and talking with the microwave handle repair man. Since all this activity was taking place right by my food dish, I was forced to remain upstairs on alert. Couldn't even get near my breakfast.
You are a kind and forgiving cat, Fin...but keep track of these feeding time infractions. There's just no excuse.
Katie
PS- Glogirly is sending get well thoughts to your mom. I am too, after all a girl's gotta eat.
Thank you pretty girl,love Paloma
ReplyDeleteToo bad your dad was out of town! The only good part about being sick is being waited on hand and foot. I am glad she's feeling better now.
ReplyDeleteYeah, better find the glasses for the old girl, if getting fed properly is in question!
ReplyDeleteFin I would be careful about hiding the glasses - you could do that, and then when she goes to feed you instead of cat food she could grab like peas or something weird like that.
ReplyDeleteFind those glasses quickly!
ReplyDeletecindy
We're glad your mom is feeling better. Hiding your mom's glasses was a brilliant idea just to show her what you are capable of if things don't go your way. Now that you've made your point, we think it is safe to give them back, so she can go back to performing her duties catering to your every wish and whim.
ReplyDeleteI think you have done amazing nurturing and servitude to your sickened mom.
ReplyDeleteI hope this week-end is filled with more purposeful snuggling and scritching in gratitude. I mean, what if you were not there, shudder the thought. and you found her glasses for her too. well done
purrrs
You will be the best medicine for your mum - hope she is feeling better soon. Big hugs for your mum....
ReplyDeleteYes Fin -- your concern is overwhelming! LOL!
ReplyDeleteBelieve I know all too well the frustration of losing one's glasses! I, too, am blind as a bat without mine. There's been many a time I have been down on the floor feeling here, there and everywhere for them without success.
Does your mommy have a spare pair anywhere? That's the only way I was able to find mine when our daddy was away.
Yes, please help your sick mama find her glasses, you naughty Fin! That way, you're much more likely to be fed on time.
Hope everyone is feeling much better Fin! So good of you to take care of Mom like that. You stopped by our other blog - thanks for visitng. You know us from our Cats of Wildcat Woods blog too. Glad you found our other blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better Fin's mommy.
ReplyDeletehow u've got that fur!!!
ReplyDeletebaby wants it too!!!
My dear friend Fin,
ReplyDeleteThere's trouble in the townhouse. I've been wrongly accused of an unspeakable crime. I need your support!
Katie
Aw I hope your human is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteOMG you are just a doll!!!!
Hey Fin,
ReplyDeleteHow thoughtful and unselfish of you to care for your mom for no ulterior motives. It sounds like you're Snow White living with the seven dwarfs: Sneezy, Weezy, Moany, Whiny, Sleepy, Grumpy, and Sicky.
