Not all wildlife is as fun. Dad has been run off the road swerving to avoid a coyote, and another was a near miss. Mom saw a pack running one morning and thought the were unattractive dawgs. Luckily none have ever come into our cul de sac. I"m really glad this fella has never shown up on the porch. I might pee my cataloons.
Meep Meep
Mom had a road runner that came up to her thighs that lived in the parking lot of her last job. Yes, she even found him cute. I have a feeling she would be screaming for another reason if this little fella found his way into the house.
Mr. Lizard thinks he can hide from me, but he can't. Don't worry I don't have a taste for lizards. I do love to watch the lizard family as they scoot across the wall though.
PS. Copies of something that rhymes with My Look are expected at Casa De Housecat anyday. Yeah!
Mr. Roadrunner is quite the character...Fin, protect your crunchy food! There is a roadrunner at Mommy's work that ate the kibble she put out for the feral kitty. That is the truth. Guard your porch well.
ReplyDeleteWow a road runner!!!
ReplyDeleteI have an owl or two in my back yard.
Fin,
ReplyDeleteYup, it's fun knowing there's another blogging Kitty in town!
If your Mommy is weird about lizards maybe she'll need to squint at Wednesday's post...just sayin'.
Hello from Japan Fin! :) We found your post right after ours on the Blogosphere :P We've never seen a real roadrunner before, and don't they look cool! Meep.

Glad you had a great time on your porch, Fin...We've never seen a road runner before!...We think lizards are fascinating too...We've been waiting to buy a book from you instead of Amazon so we can get it personally autographed!!YAY Finny, your book is so exciting!!...kisses sweetheart...Hope your Mommy is feeling better...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you had some porch time. Better keep an eye on those lizards.
ReplyDeleteMeep Meep....COOL! We get owls, falcons, hawks, herons also gold finch and redwinged blackbirds=^Y^=meep meep
ReplyDeleteWow! For not having a lot of wildlife, you sure have some interesting ones!
ReplyDeleteRoad runners can get as tall as a human's thigh? Wow! I thought they were small birds. LOL. I really don't know anything about them--used to wish the coyote would eat the d*mned bird in the old cartoons.
ReplyDeleteRe. the book, if it's going to be a while before it's available in Canada via Amazon.ca, yep, I'd love a copy, if you are mailing outside of the US. (I already have a PayPal account, if you will be setting up payment that way.)

Are there lots of coyotes?
ReplyDeleteMaybe your next book should be: 'How to catch a roadrunner'. You could make a fortune.
Fin, if a road runner comes visiting, please be careful. They are very clever! We don't want to see you under an ACME weight!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a real live roadrunner! I thought it was just a cartoon :)
ReplyDeleteYay about the book!
That road runner is COOL! Can we trade you a turkey for it?? We have WAY too many turkeys living around us. They scare Alice.
ReplyDeleteWow, roadrunners are cute! We have only seen the one in cartoons, so this is a first for us!
ReplyDeleteWow! It would be fun to watch some different wildlife for a change...we're getting tired of the birdies and squirrels and bunnies and occasional vishus deer...
ReplyDeleteFinny, that road runner is interesting. We have never seen one of those but wouldn't they be fun to chase.
ReplyDeleteWe have tons of wildlife in our yard. There is even a opossum that stays under our house which Mom says really bad words about.
We already have the book and have read it. It is a super book. It is a lot of fun having you around the house all the time.
Small lizards are always finding their way inside our house! I just like to play with them, but Harley snaps them up and swallows them down. Even though he is Not Allowed to eat them (he has strong jaws and refuses to open up).
ReplyDeleteWe like the tiny little "meep meep" the road-runner made. It made us larf. It sounds like a veritable zoo at yoor place.
ReplyDeleteWe would love to have a copy of Fin's book pawtographed please - we (meaning Mum) can pay by PayPal - if you can do it and mail to the UK tell us the price including mail and we will instruct our secretary to do the necessary.
ReplyDeleteWe had never heard of a roadrunner before and Mum thought it was just a cartoon bird!!
The roadrunner is awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great wildlife session you had...love that roadrunner too!
ReplyDeleteWe've only seen coyotes and road runners in cartoons (my mom adores them almost as much as her beloved Bugs Bunny)...
ReplyDeleteWe wouldn't want to meet a real one though...be careful Fin. You can probably outsmart a Wile E. Coyote, but not a Road Runner...
Well you're pretty lucky; you get a lot of wild life to look at. We get squirrels. But we're glad all you do is look.
ReplyDeleteWe love looking at wildlife, too. We don't have any roadrunners here ... just deer, squirrels, chipmunks and birdies...
ReplyDeleteThat roadrunner is pawsome! The only roadrunner our mom and dad have ever seen is the car!
ReplyDeleteSo that's where my internet service comes from? Hmmmmm. Meep, meep!

That road runner is SOOOOO kewl!
ReplyDeleteMy human thinks roadrunners are cute too. AND lizards. She is nuts. Lizards aren't cute. Lizards are LUNCH! She rescue one from me once, but we don't talk about that. It might lead to a big argument.
ReplyDeleteMeep, meep, I wanna see a roadrunner!
ReplyDeletewow the road runner is cooool! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have never seen a roadrunner before in real! That is a funny looking creature! I think maybe it would be fun to chase!
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie. I have never seen one before in the real. Would love to chase it.
ReplyDeleteToo many lizards in my yard to warrant my particular attention. I don't chase them anymore, as I did when I was younger.
Wow. We've never ever seen one. They look very exotic to us over here!
