Ruling Class

What Mom? I'm not supposed to be on the table?
No I wasn't aware of that...

I think if you look up Rule 22, Sub-Paragraph 5 and 6 of the Cats Don't Follow Rules Rulebook you'll see that the "No Cats on the Dining Table" rule you speak of is actually null and void. Feel free to review that Mom. I'll  be right here when you're done.

  1. Wait? What? Cats have rules?!

Fin, I think you need to start a series or "law breakers" kitties who live on the edge. Sort of like your cat Olympics. I think I might know a couple cats that would eagerly participate...

  4. You go girl!...We support you totally; we ganged up on our Mommy about our kitchen table (there are 3 big windows where we love to watch Bird TV) and she gave up the fight=she now just cleans paw prints off the table all the time!...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

  6. YES!

Fin, you prevail on that table...you deserve no less than total house domination. And total disregard for rules.

Now you have to convince your Mom to put a bed up there for you...or a nice warm folded towel, fresh from the dryer.

  8. Fin, kitties can do anything. Mom has a book from years ago called "Cats Little Instruction Book". It has all the things cats can do!!! Lots of love, Holly and mom

  9. I think my mom keeps a bunch of stuff on my table so I won't get up on it.

  10. My parents permanently keep a protective cover and a tablecloth on our dining room table, knowing that all cats go on the dining room tables. When it is time to use it for eating (rare), they change out the cloth for a fresh one.

Fin, you keep on keeping your Mom in line.

  11. Surely one little cat can't do any harm to a table. Don't those beans realize we look smashing as centerpieces?

  12. What d'you mean? Cats belong to the table.

Actually I am not aware of cats obeying any rules at all, and I am going to stay that way. So should you, my SIF!

  15. Ha ha ha! Momma gave up on 'rules' a long time ago. And she even put our table right in front of the window that's right in front of the bird feeder.....must have done that just for US!

  16. I just consulted my copy of The Rules by Max Thompson and it pretty much says the kitties can go wherever they want. So that settles it.

  17. Haha! That rule is definitely null and void in our house!

  19. I proclaimed Fridays as "set the tables with felines day." So Fridays are covered. I was also advised by my fellow felines that "Effurryday" should be set the table with felines day. So, I have revised my proclamation as such! Fin, the feline world is behind you all the way ;)

  20. Oh and there we were thinking that the table was a large stool with taller legs to be used to look out of the window without having to stretch our necks. Silly us!!

  21. Great job Fin, do not move off that table. Cats rule and you get to stay there. WE love that rule, Don't follow rules. Have a fantastic day up on that table.

Momma gave up on this one and put down a nice quilt on top of the dining room table, so we can't hurt the table now.

  23. Hmphh...not "allowed" on the table - that's just crazy! My Mum always pretends to look shocked and insists I get down when I get on the counters and tables when we have guest over - I don't know who she is trying to impress, pretending I don't get up on the counters.....silly Mum.

  24. i hate not being allowed on the table. it's the best place in the whole house! i can see all the birdies in the backyard from my table, and my mom even bought a nice tall one for the front window!

  25. Yes! And remind your human that ignorance of the rules is no excuse.

  26. Fin, you're so clever. They can't argue when you have the facts to back you up. Way to go!

  27. Mom uses our table as an art table, so not only do I get to watch the neighbors, I get the added entertainment of watching her freak when I knock her latest project off the table.
