They're Back!

Fin: Well I'm happy to report my family has returned, after a week of abandonment. I nearly starved friends! I was weak with hunger and thirst when they returned...

Mom: Fin, you had bowls full of food and water, which I see you fully enjoyed in our absence...

Fin: But there was NO GRAVY. I had to eat my kibble DRY. Oh how it stuck in my throat. ::Coughs::

Mom: Oh for Cod's sake, and it was only one day we were gone.

Fin: In cat years, one day is like a whole week... go ahead, do the math.

Mom: Really?

Fin: Yes! You have a lot of snuggling to make up for Mom.

Mom: You're right, come here pretty kitty girl and I'll shower you with pets.

Fin: I'm not sure you're forgiven yet. Maybe around 2am I will be in the mood for some pets. We'll see.

  2. LOG!?! (lack of gravy)

    That's a grave offence.

Only an ENTIRE bowl of gravy will mitigate the crime!

  5. Your humans were gone for a whole WEEK (in cat years) and left you with nothing but dry kibble and water? That is almost the worst cruelty a kitty could suffer! Well, sort of. Show your humans that you do not take this neglect lying down, Fin!

  7. Fin, you are so right about when the beans go away. Even though our petsitter gives us attention, we still want our mom back. But you do have to get the cuddles on your own terms.

  11. Oh Fin that is a horrible crime. No gravy. No excuse for that. I certainly would wake up those beans several times for pay back. But glad they are home all safe. Take care and have a great week.

  12. Fin, y'know, you are right...a day is a week in cat years. Your mom has a whole week of catch-up to do there with the petting!!

  15. Lack of Gravy - that is most definitely the worst case of neglect we have ever heard. Your mom owes you big time and we mean
    BIG

  16. Dry kibble? ::Gasp:: You're lucky you didn't choke to death on a piece, Fin. How cruel of your mom and dad to leave you at such risk!

  19. Fin a WHOLE DAY - we don't know how you survived! And NO gravy - like none??!!?? Well, after going through that ordeal we bet you could teach a cat survival class - you had to do a lot of quick thinking to make it through on your own!

  20. Fin you have every reason to be upset and I think right about 2am is the correct time to show your Mom that you forgive her.

  21. How deprived you were, Fin. You deserve a month's (in people time) worth of gravy!

  22. Fin! I can't believe my ears! er...eyes! NO gravy at ALL??? Not a drop??? Your poor throat all parched and clogged?

I got MY mom awake at two AM to tell her I wasn't as mad any more about the v-e-t...so, get YOUR mom us and tell her she's still OK in your book.

  23. No gravy with your food! I'd make her pay.

But, I bet you're really glad she is back.

  24. No gravy??? How did you survive? It must have been such an ordeal for you poor Fin.

  25. Careful, Fin -- you don't want to sound TOO grateful that they're back; you'll lose all your aloof credibility, don't you know. Clearly, you have much to learn about the art of studied indifference.
