Floofy Friday
The photo cord mystery was solved. Turns out someone ::cough - Mom:: was using the wrong camera cord! Many of you suggested getting a card reader but Mom isn't really clear on how to get the pictures onto the card (is that the same as the memory chip?) and from that into her laptop. I know, wow right. Sad.

That is really glorious floor, Quill! BTW, to answer your human's confusion, there is a card in the camera already that has the photos. But I guess she needs to know how to take the card out of the camera and the right way to put it in the reader, which has a USB plug to go into the computer. If she messes up a step, she could kill the card and not be able to get the photos anymore. So maybe it is just as well she found the cord.
We are glad your mum solved the mystery of the cord. Those lovely floofy photos of you were worth waiting for.
About the card. As Sparkle said, there may already be one in the camera or it may have been in the box when you purchased it. The camera will take a certain amount of photos with the inbuilt memory, but as I usually take 200+ photos when I am on holiday I use a separate card. The card usually goes in a narrow gap beside the battery.
Quill, we have to agree with Rumble. We have always thought you look so much like Fin. You are such a handsome dude with all that fluff. Love those two pictures. Glad Mom figured out the cord deal so we could see a picture of you. Take care and now we are ready for our week end.

Our Mommy likes to use her memory card. Your Mom has a couple of options: if her 'puter has a card reader, use it (she can get an adaptor if it's not the correct size slot, OR, even FUNNER, use a WIFI card! Mommy is already gadget envious...

Quill, tell Mom that there are very inexpensive card readers/adapters that plug right into any USB port to view & access photos from the SD card in her camera. They are about the size of a key fob and very handy to have. I found one at my local Wal Mart & IIRC it was about $10.00.
BTW- you're very photogenic and I'm looking foward to seeing more pics of you.

*wipes kiss slobber from screen* a card reader is something you put the memory card in. It looks a lot like a UBS memory stick, but it has a slot to put the card in. You take the card out of the camera, slide it in the slot, than slide the USB part of it into the camera..
