You see I have noticed something very odd here at the H.C. We rarely get called our official names. How is a kitten supposed to know his name when it's always changing?
Here are the variations I am expected to know equal me:
- Bugs
- Bug-A-Boo
- Bug-A-Bro
- The Little One
- Lil G
- Get Down!
- No! No! No!
- Little Twerp
- Mr Cuddles
- Quillbert
- The Big One
- Sweetie
- Momma's Boy
- Big Boy
- Baby Boy
Interesting how Quill does not have the equivalent names for No! No! No! or Get Down!
ReplyDeleteI have a few other name too. Baby Girl, Little Girl, Countess, Stop that, sweetheart, Darling, KatieBella, Katie...who KNOWS what's next!
ReplyDeleteHey Sparkle you're right! Maybe we do know who's Momma's Perfect Boy!!
ReplyDeleteWe're with Sparkle. Quill seems to have learned some lessons along the way!
ReplyDeleteGreyson, for the longest time I thought my name was No Ernie No.
ReplyDeleteErnie
The Crew just humors me. If I'm talking to someone and no one cares about the topic, they all ignore me. If I'm talking to one about something they all are interested in then I have all of their undivided attention regardless of whose name I used and who the conversation was intended :)
ReplyDeleteMom calls me Baby Boy too. Crazy - I am a middle aged (111/2 year old) cat.
ReplyDeleteWe have a saying here in Oklahoma. "You can call me anything, just don't call me late for dinner."
ReplyDeleteWe kittehz are much the same way. MOL!
We like No! No! No! LOL.
ReplyDeleteWe get all sorts of nicknames, too. Some of them not so flattering!
You have so many nicknames - Mum calls Hannah - Hanny Wanny Woo and Lucy is called Juicy Lucy. She has no imagination!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
You have more aliases than I do:
ReplyDeleteJen Jen
Fuzzy butt
Dingle butt
The only one I like is "Jen Jen" :)
Jenna
It is very interesting that Quill doesn't have the No No No name. Quill you are such a good boy and Greyson you must be a ton of fun. But guess what we happen to know that Mom loves you both to bits. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWhat's in a name. A cat by any other name would still be a cat. It is always hard to know when the "nonono" name is used to whom it is directed around here. We suspect that is one of the more popular ones at your house as well. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteThat old saying that cats all have three names has gone out the window! We do the same at our house.
ReplyDeleteI guess the name game is probably better than the blame game Greyson!
ReplyDeleteI believe this is a common problem. It is something to do with the humans having short term memory loss, apparently!!!
ReplyDeleteI think EVERY cat in the Blog-o-sphere can feel your pain!
ReplyDeleteHee hee, we have problems like that over here too...
ReplyDeletei bet my grandson thinks his name is nonono too!
ReplyDeleteWe have for Wolfie (the big one @13 lbs):
ReplyDeleteBiggie Smalls
big girl
Wolfman
Wolfamina
Squeaky (her voice)
for Abba (the tiny one@9lbs):
The little one/girl
Ballerina girl (she prances)
Bee-bah
Wiggy
and for both:
Little monkeys :)
