The Name Game

Hi friends! Greyson here - or is it?

You see I have noticed something very odd here at the H.C. We rarely get called our official names. How is a kitten supposed to know his name when it's always changing?

Here are the variations I am expected to know equal me:
  • Bugs
  • Bug-A-Boo
  • Bug-A-Bro
  • The Little One
  • Lil G
  • Get Down!
  • No! No! No!
  • Little Twerp
  • Mr Cuddles
Quill is not spared either. Here is his list:
  • Quillbert
  • The Big One
  • Sweetie
  • Momma's Boy
  • Big Boy
  • Baby Boy
Is it any wonder we don't know who she's talking about when she calls for Momma's Perfect Boy? Or Daddy asks who's a Good Boy?

  6. The Crew just humors me. If I'm talking to someone and no one cares about the topic, they all ignore me. If I'm talking to one about something they all are interested in then I have all of their undivided attention regardless of whose name I used and who the conversation was intended :)

  7. Mom calls me Baby Boy too. Crazy - I am a middle aged (111/2 year old) cat.

  8. We have a saying here in Oklahoma. "You can call me anything, just don't call me late for dinner."

We kittehz are much the same way. MOL!

  12. It is very interesting that Quill doesn't have the No No No name. Quill you are such a good boy and Greyson you must be a ton of fun. But guess what we happen to know that Mom loves you both to bits. Take care.

  13. What's in a name. A cat by any other name would still be a cat. It is always hard to know when the "nonono" name is used to whom it is directed around here. We suspect that is one of the more popular ones at your house as well. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

  14. That old saying that cats all have three names has gone out the window! We do the same at our house.

  16. I believe this is a common problem. It is something to do with the humans having short term memory loss, apparently!!!
