Cat-O-Lympics - Closing Time

Bob: I understand we have one last event Jim!

Jim: That's right Bob! This is one for The Mom, and it's called Extreme Procrastination Bob. Our Human Hostess is a real champion in this event!

Bob: I understand that on some nights this last week she was still putting together posts at the last minute, even when she thought of the events weeks ago!

Jim: That's right Bob. She likes to live on the edge! Do you remember on the first night of competition when the Mr Linky didn't work?

Bob::Chuckles:: If there was an event on swearing, our hostess might have taken home the gold! Let's not forget night two, when she thought she had deleted night one in a frenzied last minute posting debacle! And clearly tonight is no different. It's almost nine!

Jim: Good times Bob! Let's call it the exhibition sport of the games!

Bob: Well Jim it's been great fun for all of us here at Fin-Land. I hope all the pets and their humans had fun.

Jim: We were going to offer a highlight reel with all the excitement, but the events and the posts have been coming so fast Bob, we don't think it would be possible to get everyone mentioned, and we'd hate to miss anyone. Frankly it's been like herding cats!

Bob: What Jim, you mean there isn't going to be an award ceremony?

Jim: Some of the other hosts are calling winners Bob, but here at the H.C. we feel like we're all winners! We've had fun, and having the opportunity to see all the skills and creativity that our friends have displayed has been it's own reward.

Bob: So what's going to happen to us now Jim?

Jim: Well Bob, our contract has been picked up and I understand we may make future appearances here. So all ends as it should. Our hostesses are going to take a couple of days off as the human as caught a cold and Finny is worn out from all the competing, then it'll be 400 posts soon, and they have something planned for the Acatemy Awards.

Bob: Well Jim that all sounds exciting, and of course our champion procrastinator will be waiting to till the bitter end to write those posts too! We're signing off!

  5. Congratulations on a fabulous job, everyone. We don't want it to end, either, because it's been such fun, but our slave/assistant understands that other slaves/assistants might need a break.

P.S. Our human wants to know if the Cat-O-Lympics graphic she's seen on various sites is available to participants for use in their blog sidebar. (Eg. We participated in...) She doesn't want to copy/steal anything without permission!

  18. All of us here, sure do think that Fin and Jim and Bob and the human should be the ones that get the gold medal. This has been so very much fun and what a wonderful way to get to know the other bloggers and make more friends.
Sure hope your human feels better soon Fin. She just needs some rest. Next time, we all need to divide up the duties so one person doesn't have to do all the work.
    Feel better.

  28. We are kitties that blog, cannot we just extend the Cat O Lympics another week? This was way too much fun! I did compete in two events, those are showing in my second and third last past from today. I didn't know you had a linkie thing. I was in the Sny. Snoozing and also the Napping Competition. When will the awards be? How are the judges in those events? My mom would take the gold in this event for sure but I don't think she will get around to posting about it, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. How long will this event go on. Maybe I could come up with something foro myself?

  29. Everycat knows that Fin went all out to make the 2010 Cat-O-Lympics the fantastic success that it was. In addition to thanking the hosts of the events we also want to thank Jim & Bob for their in-depth, minute-by-minute coverage and give a nod to Fin's Mom for all her help and to all the participants - the cathletes, the judges and those who worked behind the scenes to make it happen.

    Thanks everyone!

  31. Enjoyable posts. We have cat olympics every evening in our large living room. Sophie and Lily compete in tag team events. Lily has no competition when it comes to her high jumps in the air after wads of paper. Max is the best spectator around.

Lily is also the cover girl for our latest book--Catscapades, True Cat Tales. And her harrowing story of her near death experience and miraculous recovery is included, along with additional pictures of her and many other cats. (Full color.) www.matilijapress.com/catscapades.html.
