Update Cat-O-Lympics

Initially Mom had thought we could do Cat-O-Lympics for two straight weeks, but upon reflection she's not that clever. So we're scaling back a bit and beginning on Feb 15th, and probably go for the week. So how can you play along? It's easy.

If you have an event you want to host at your place just let us know and we will mention it in the Opening Ceremonies post on the 15th (competitive napping, and ice hockey have been spoken for with more details to follow). You can run the event with whatever rules you like at your place. If you just have an idea for a simple post at your place, we plan on getting Mr Linky so you can add your post link here whenever you've posted it.

Naturally the rules are nearly non-existent, so you can be of another species and pretty much any event goes... So anything from Mice Dancing to Thundering Herds of Elephants to more traditional sports like Wrestling or Jumping are all welcome.

At our house, I think... BOXING! That would be the most likely Olympic sport here.

Does the Olympics have boxing?

Hmmm, I'm very good at waking my humans in the middle of the night...but I'm not sure if that counts as a sport as much as a torture technique...

Hi Fin! We thought of a great sport - we know there is already competitive napping but we would like to host Synchronized napping. Like there is swimming and synchronized swimming. We will host that at our site. We are thinking of some sort of knocking stuff down strength thing for the NKC to host, we just don't know how to phrase it exactly. Like the Strong Man Knocking Stuff Down competition - does that have a good ring to it? Since it is a week long thing we would like to do one on one day and one on a different day if that is ok.

We'd like to hold the bare paw fighting event on Friday 19th of week one if that's OK. Then we will have time to advertise it on our bloggie after the opening ceremony.
We will post the rules and stuff on Tuesday if that's OK ~ so maybe you could ask folk to visit us Tuesday 16th for details of entering ~ then again Friday 19th to link their entries when they post.

Fanks.
Wot fun!

Hey Fin! The mile long machine kleening is a competition. It would be great if you would mention it in the opening ceremony. I posted a faw about it on my blog today just so more people could see it and read about and know how to compete before the competition starts the day after the opening ceremony.
Fin, you always come up with the best ideas...hunt week...Cat-O-Lympics...wow

Ooh, this is so exciting! We would like to host the Bird & Squirrel Watching Event! We think that Thursday, February 18th would be our preference.

Thanks!

We could do the balance beam, hahameow! On second thought, any gymnastics would be great...but think we will watch from the comfort of our bed, because Disco is sort of out of shape and we don't want to make him feel (fat) bad.
