Thankful Thursday

I am very thankful that Dad was not trying to play with my beloved Mousey yesterday. He did toss it in the air which set off my beloved's jingle bell, but he claimed he was "just moving it out of the way..." and something about how I shouldn't be leaving him in the hallway.

I haven't spoken much about my darling on the blog. Mousey & Me, A Tale of Forbidden Love was the very first story Mom and I ever wrote together and it's what spawned the idea for my book and later this very blog. Mousey is so precious to me and without him my life literally wouldn't be the same.

I know the nature of our love is scandalous, but one look into his beaded black eyes and I know I can't do anything else but love him. I hope you don't judge me.

What am I saying you're my friends, you'll understand.

  6. I won't even get into my secret. It's so secret, in fact, that my human hides it in a drawer and only pulls it out for me when no one is looking! She says that's so it won't vanish somewhere, but I know the shameful truth.

  7. Well, thank Cod! We had a mental picture of your Dad, rolling around on the floor, gently merrowing and bunny-kicking Mousey, and we were appalled.

  10. Are you kidding? OF COURSE I UNDERSTAND!!

I share the same love affair with my red mousie....I just can't get enough of him.

I am an Aries cat and red is the color of Aries...naturally of ALL the mousies that I have (of MANY assorted colors) I go for the RED one!

Oh and I bring my mousie into the hallway too. Doesn't your Daddy know that is OUR way of thanking our parents for our "foods?"

Tell him to step around it! Geeze!! xoxo

  14. Fin, I understand so well. I adore my Scruffy Rat. I have had him since I was a few months old and now I will soon be 11. I am not one for playing all day or partaking in nip, but Ratty is different. He is always there for me, well, apart from the twice he got lost, and then I was lost without him. Mum calls him Fred Bare but she doesn't understand, he has character. So you see Fin, how could I possibly judge you.
