Mom on Monday

My girl is spooked. She's not saying why, but she is avoiding our great room like it's anything but great. Unfortunately it's also the room that has her food, her water dish and her parents.

Hubby was the first to notice she was not hanging out with us in the afternoon yesterday. She seemed agitated and was meowing in the living room but would just breeze through the great room and right back out.

I was worried about her last night, but this morning she seemed really hungry and thirsty, but still wouldn't eat much. I turned on the bathroom sink and after a few encouraging pets she drank for a long while. I gave her some Catnip flavored Temptations (Yes Virgina, there really are catnip temptations) and she gobbled them down. I decided to bring her food dishes in our bedroom and she wolfed it down...

Okay mid-type my girl came out from the bedroom and demanded more food and then took over my lap for some extended snuggle time. I think we're okay now. Wonder what had her so spooked? Maybe she'll tell me at 4:30am...

  1. Obviously there is something horrible in the great room and U R not paying attention! So if the roof falls on your head or the floor caves in under your feet, don't try to say Fin did not warn you!

  2. Well, that does sound strange. Hope the spookedness goes away as fast as it arrived. Good thing Mom clued in and provided food elsewhere.

  4. We sure hope Fin is all right. Maybe there is something scary in the great room. It doesn't smell like Mittens does it??
Glad to hear that she is a little better and eating some and drinking. Take care Fin and we will check back to see how you are doing. Love Sparkle's comment.

  5. Ooooh! It's where the term scaredy cat comes in I guess. I've noticed with mine, he gets spooked at his shadow sometimes and that's no fun. It then takes a while for him to get relaxed again.

There again it could all be a ploy to get more of your attention!

  8. Mom says we see stuff that isn't there all the time...or is it just because we can see stuff her human eyes and brain can't comprehend?

  11. We're sending lots of purrs to Fin! Remember our keen sense of smell, maybe something got tracked in and the smell signaled danger?!!?

  12. Fin is definitely picking up something that is not right in that room. We are very glad she ate and drank in the other room though. Wonder what it is! Lots of love, Holly and mom

  13. We wonder what you saw in there Fin. Sometimes we stare at the door and put our hackles up. That scares mum because we always do it when she is home on her own.

  16. What a caution, as an old friend would say..

Fin, it's good you're on the alert like that and mom changed things around a bit so you would be comfortable.

You've got to let her know what it was!

  23. Fin, that's scary. I wonder what you sensed. I know it was something because you were determined not to be a part of whatever it was. Let us know if that's over...I'm glad your mommy brought your fuds and waters out though. ♥♥
