What's the one thing you don't want to break in the Summer when you live in the desert?
Your air conditioner. Guess what broke on Saturday afternoon?
What's that friends? Did you say air conditioner?
And you're right! I spent the entire weekend with my belly exposed, and curling up in my sink. You know what else helps the heat? Dippin a paw into your water bowl.
Luckily Dad's best chum was able to fix the a/c for the cost of a pizza. Pretty cool.
Ha!
ReplyDeleteFurst off, my word is OVENED -
That's what happened to woo!
That happened to Auntie Di a few years ago - it was 93 degrees IN HER HOUSE in Phoenix - at night -
Silly humans wanting to live in deserts!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
That sounds like a good friend to have!!!
ReplyDeleteTHAT is a nightmare! Ours conked out a few years back and we were MELTING kitties.
ReplyDeleteSausage pizza? With anchovies? We like anchovies!
That was BAD to lose your coolth that way. Now that is the type of friend everybody should have!
ReplyDeletewe cant stand heat also.
ReplyDeleteluckily the a/c is ok :)
much love;
BoBo Salem & ChaCha
Say...how is it you have summer and just right next door here in CA it's been back to winter?
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
You are lucky, Fin, that it got fixed so fast! I can't think of anything worse than a broken air conditioner in Nevada.
ReplyDeleteAww Fin, I'm glad it's fixed! Though, my cat Bella would argue that despite the shame of being shaved, a shaved tummy is a nice treat for long fur in the summer. Blasphemy?
ReplyDeletep.s. It's been a while since I've been blogging, but i think it's a time for a fluff contest!
Cost of a pizza???
ReplyDeleteMust be a very good buddy!!
Fin, we are glad that your loveliness is feeling all comfy now.
Fin The last thing you need is desert, thick coat and no air conditioner all at the same time :((( Good thing for cost-of-a-pizza man :))
ReplyDeleteIt's a very good thing you were able to get it fixed quick!
ReplyDeleteThat cool stuff blowing is sure important Fin, and I'm so glad yours got fixed!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're so glad it got fixed! No AC is a terrible, terrible thing.
ReplyDeleteMom got a chill just thinking about the a/c breaking - it is about 90 here for like the 6th day in a row...and we don't live in the desert. We are glad you got it fixed (and for pizza no less).
ReplyDeleteThe cost of a pizza is very cheap to fix an a/c unit! That is wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteLuf, Us
Fin, you are lucky that the a/c could be fixed so easily! Otherwise, your little tummy would be sweating!!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Sounds like yoor dad's friend is a useful chap to know!
ReplyDeleteFin, thank goodness your dad's friend could fix the AC!!! He sounds like a great guy to help out! We don't like it hot here either! Lots of love, Holly & Mom
ReplyDeleteOh Fin, that was nearly a disaster. Thank Cod, Dad had a friend that fix that silly air conditioner. We are so excited that you are cool again. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOMC the air breaking is my WORST nightmare.
ReplyDeleteI have medullary sponge kidneys (a condition that makes me have 100s of stones daily). Hot weather and being dehydrated ARE NOT my friend! Air is imperative!
Ours broke a week ago (had to get a new furnace too)...trust me it cost a hell of a lot more than a pizza!!! Lucky you!! Glad everything is fixed!
Come on Fin, admit it. Your dad's friend was so super kind to fix the a/c just so he could spend some time in your presence, or if you were hiding out, at least inside your house with all of your lovely fluff around him.
ReplyDeleteNo air for the whole weekend Fin. Yikes!!! Good thing you are a resourful cat and spent all your time in the sink. Thank Cod it is now fixed.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that would be a terrible thing to haf had to haf gone much longer wif no air conditioning! I am so glad you haf a family friend who is so smart and can fix it!
ReplyDeleteFin dear,
ReplyDeleteI'd love to adopt that friend of your Dad. Mama's thinking of adding another A/C in the house. He'll be handy, eh? purrr....meow!
Hi Fin! That stinks that your AC went out - ours did that last year and it was nasty so we are guessing it was even worse there for you in the desert! We are glad that your dad's friend was able to fix it!
ReplyDeleteWow. That's a nice friend to have. :) I can't imagine what it'll be like without the a/c. Sticky, sweaty and yucky!
ReplyDeleteUGG! We are very glad that your air conditioner was fixable, though. So far we haven't had to break out the air conditioner yet, but of course we don't live in the desert! :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully you didn't shed out all of your furs!
ReplyDeleteStay cool Finny! We are still relaxing over here and trying to get mom back on her feet.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Siena
Phew! We don't like the hots, either, Fin! Thank COD for your dad's friend ... the price of a pizza, really? That's awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my Fin!
ReplyDeleteWe live in FL, so we know the value of A/C. We've had ours go out in the middle of July. Our rents had to move out until it got fixed as it was over 100 degrees and unlivable. WE are glad yours got repaired so quickly.
Thank you for your kind thoughts for our Daddy recuperation from surgery.
purrs
