Feelin Hot Hot Hot

What's the one thing you don't want to break in the Summer when you live in the desert?

Your air conditioner. Guess what broke on Saturday afternoon?

What's that friends? Did you say air conditioner?

And you're right! I spent the entire weekend with my belly exposed, and curling up in my sink. You know what else helps the heat? Dippin a paw into your water bowl.

Luckily Dad's best chum was able to fix the a/c for the cost of a pizza. Pretty cool.

  7. You are lucky, Fin, that it got fixed so fast! I can't think of anything worse than a broken air conditioner in Nevada.

  8. Aww Fin, I'm glad it's fixed! Though, my cat Bella would argue that despite the shame of being shaved, a shaved tummy is a nice treat for long fur in the summer. Blasphemy?

    p.s. It's been a while since I've been blogging, but i think it's a time for a fluff contest!

  10. Fin The last thing you need is desert, thick coat and no air conditioner all at the same time :((( Good thing for cost-of-a-pizza man :))

  14. Mom got a chill just thinking about the a/c breaking - it is about 90 here for like the 6th day in a row...and we don't live in the desert. We are glad you got it fixed (and for pizza no less).

  19. Oh Fin, that was nearly a disaster. Thank Cod, Dad had a friend that fix that silly air conditioner. We are so excited that you are cool again. Take care.

  20. OMC the air breaking is my WORST nightmare.

I have medullary sponge kidneys (a condition that makes me have 100s of stones daily). Hot weather and being dehydrated ARE NOT my friend! Air is imperative!

Ours broke a week ago (had to get a new furnace too)...trust me it cost a hell of a lot more than a pizza!!! Lucky you!! Glad everything is fixed!

  21. Come on Fin, admit it. Your dad's friend was so super kind to fix the a/c just so he could spend some time in your presence, or if you were hiding out, at least inside your house with all of your lovely fluff around him.

  22. No air for the whole weekend Fin. Yikes!!! Good thing you are a resourful cat and spent all your time in the sink. Thank Cod it is now fixed.

  24. Fin dear,
I'd love to adopt that friend of your Dad. Mama's thinking of adding another A/C in the house. He'll be handy, eh? purrr....meow!

  25. Hi Fin! That stinks that your AC went out - ours did that last year and it was nasty so we are guessing it was even worse there for you in the desert! We are glad that your dad's friend was able to fix it!

  26. Wow. That's a nice friend to have. :) I can't imagine what it'll be like without the a/c. Sticky, sweaty and yucky!

  27. UGG! We are very glad that your air conditioner was fixable, though. So far we haven't had to break out the air conditioner yet, but of course we don't live in the desert! :)

  30. Phew! We don't like the hots, either, Fin! Thank COD for your dad's friend ... the price of a pizza, really? That's awesome. :)

  31. Oh my Fin!
We live in FL, so we know the value of A/C. We've had ours go out in the middle of July. Our rents had to move out until it got fixed as it was over 100 degrees and unlivable. WE are glad yours got repaired so quickly.

Thank you for your kind thoughts for our Daddy recuperation from surgery.
