Stand in the middle of the living room - two rooms away from my dish and meow as loud as I can. When the volume of the television goes down (so the parents can see if they really heard the aforementioned meows) you turn the meows to off.
When the television volume goes back up, begin to meow again.
Eventually one of the parents will get off their asterisks and come to see what's wrong. As soon as I hear they are up (amidst the complaints) I race for my dish and begin my dance.
"Seriously? All that meow business and you were just hungry?"
Well, it gets their attention. So far, it's worked every time. Snack happy friends.
Can't be possible...but I'm thinking you and Grete woofie are related somehow.

Wouldn't work here - Maestro has started meowing for no reason (senior moments) so mom has tuned us all out. sigh....

ReplyDeleteI like to mess with the pens on my mommy's nightstand and paw her face, but i will have to try your meow trick sometime!! I usually only do that when I want to go outside so it will be fun to confuse her!!!

When I want my breakfast and Mummy is still in bed, I'll BUMP and BUMP then cry out until Mummy opens the door to let me in. As I walk in, I shout at her and when she gets back into bed, I jump up and continue to shout and shout and shout until she feeds me. Lucky for Mummy, I only do this once every couple of months...
