Maybe this should be titled Foliage Friday?
Ah, this looks better.
So there I was, enjoying a nice sniff at this plant, when I was assaulted! A sassy little humming bird flew right up in my face. I was shocked and appalled. Mom started laughing (yes she has wildly inappropriate responses).
Yep, it was all fun and games till the humming bird flew right into Mom's face too! She was so startled that she stepped back in dismay.
Humming Bird 2 - Mom and Fin 0
Can you imagine the nerve? I must say I almost admire that level of sass - just not in a tweet. When I napped today, I dreamed of humming bird covered in gravy - it's small, but eats like a meal.
I can see that my work is cut out for me when the weather improves. The tweets are running amok. Sigh. So what is everyone up to this weekend? We hope you have a great time friends!
We agree! Nuthin says lovin like a hummer in the oven! The nerve of that fevver! Good luck! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat about hummingbird curry? Oh...need to wipe drool... purrr *giggles*
ReplyDeleteSorry Fin, but I can't stop laughing. The image of the little tweet fluttering right up to your face AND mom's is just too much. Yum, I think perhaps hummingbird coated with honey and roasted to perfection might taste good.....
ReplyDeleteI am glad that hummingbird got your human too, Fin! I hope it comes back - you need to teach it a lesson!
ReplyDeleteHummingbirds are a bit in short supply here. Maybe cats were in the ascendant in neolithic times??!
ReplyDeleteAustin is quite concerned when a buzzard flies in his face!!!
We don't know what is going on with the hummingbirds lately. One almost flew into mom's head the other day.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!!
Hummingbirds covered in gravy, hehehe! Works for me! (Of course, before any tweet breathes his last, I would give him the last rites)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend, Fin & Mom!

Hummingbirds can be pretty nervy, but that is just amazing. We had one visit our feeder last night while Audrey and I and Mom and Dd were on the deck and it made little chirping noises as if it was annoyed we were there. We have seen ours hover to look through our windows, too.
ReplyDeleteMOL at your mom getting attacked too! hehehe sorry :]
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend fin! We plan on snoozin alot!
Sounds like you are going to have to step up the patrols if the hummingbirds are getting that rowdy! Stay safe... :)
ReplyDeleteThose hummers need a stern paw! Happy weekend Fin!!!
ReplyDeleteI must confess, I laughed. But only a little bit!
ReplyDeleteFinny, you simply must teach that tweeter a thing or two. Family honor is at stake now!
ReplyDelete"it's small, but eats like a meal." - that cracked me up.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to rest this weekend - just thinking about the weekend makes us want a nap!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you get a great weekend and your mom waits on you paw and paw.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
MOL, maybe you should have just opened your mouth Fin the hummingbird might have flown right in.
ReplyDeleteA hummingbird stayed right by the butterfly weed while Mommy planted it.
Those hummers are brave little things. They will dive bomb you. Too funny that bird did both you and Mom. We would like a video of those moves. We have tons of naps and snacks planned for the week end.Hope you sure have a good one.
ReplyDeleteHey Fin, We have hummers here too & they do get right up in yer grille! I just lay there and play deaded. One of these day's it may pay off. I'll keep ya posted.

ReplyDeleteWhy, that sassy little birdie! What cheek! That's funny that he went after your mom, too. Revenge is definitely in your future!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA...."small but eats like a meal." Gotta remember that one! Watch out for the hummers. Their wings move so fast they can cut through kitty fur.
ReplyDeleteJust helping you guard the floof.
Katie
Fin, that hummer sure sounded like it had lots of nerve!! Maybe it's been around the possums here!! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
ReplyDeleteNorty hummer to tease and fly so close. Next time set up a decoy and the dream of hummer meal will come true.
ReplyDeleteIt must have been quite a scene that the humming bird flew into both your and your mom's faces!! Next time you see the humming bird, I hope you get your revenge! Covered in gravy - sounds goooood :-)
ReplyDeleteHummingbirds are so little, yet so fierce!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like one tough little bird! The nerve!
