Dodged One

Well friends if you read Mom's last post, you know I almost had a baby brofur for the new year. Mom caught a case of kitten fever over the holidays. I am hoping that is one fever that breaks quickly.

My parents went to Petsmart to buy me something, and almost scooped up a five-month old kitten! ::Shudder:: If they had the carrier with them it might have been all over.

Luckily Mom and Dad were hungry and decided to grab some food and come back the next morning with the carrier. When they returned the kitten was already gone. Thank Cod for indecision and empty tummies I say.

I am on my best behavior and I have my eye on the closet door where MY carrier lives. If I see it crack open, I plan to expose my belly and roll out all the cute moves necessary to distract them.

Maybe I just need to offer them some of my kitten biscuits - since they are easily distracted by food rewards...

  1. It doesn't look good, Quill. Once the kitten fever starts.... Keep a close eye out, furriend.

  2. You might like a kitty to play with.. then again, you might just wanna be an only boy? I say you have to snuggle with your mommy more if you want to be an only boy!

  4. Oh Quill, you need to open your heart and mind. Having sibling can be oh so much fun (and I have the videos to prove it). The wrestling you can do, the chase, a tail that isn't your own to chew on, and more importantly someone else to blame.. siblings are awesome!!

  6. Quill, count your blessings. My mom gets not only kitten fever...cat fever, woofie fever. It's nuts! The only time kitten fever was good around here was when she got it and adopted ME!

  7. Whew! That was close, Quill. But seriously, wouldn't you like to have another kitty to play with?? It could be a good thing!

  8. Psst.. Quill... if you get a new little bro or sis, then you'll KEEP getting Kitten Crunchies! (that's the best part of a new kitten. The rest... meh)

  9. Quill, are you SURE you don't want a friend? Other kitties can play games humans can't, like 3 am sprint competitions, seeing who can jump on the highest surface, or who can knock the most stuff off of flat surfaces. So think about this hard - you may want to reconsider.

  10. Quill,
I was an only kitty until....Brad came along...I resented him at first but then I might as well encouraged him to do ALL the bad stuffs...so he gets blamed, never me. purrr...meow!

  13. Quill, you might try food rewards indeed. It sounds like they have kitten fever bad, though.

I have to admit that Sissy keeps the human distracted and I'm never alone when the human is gone :)

  15. Oh Quill, you would love a baby sister or brother. Just think how much you can push what ever it is around. But the cuteness may just work.So keep your eye on the carrier. And have your plan ready Quill. Take care and have a great day.
