Room With A View

Mom here. I thought I would show you a view I see everyday of my sweet girl, and I've yet to share.

Some of you may have noticed that Fin has an obsession with the bathroom sinks. She sleeps in one, and she views the other as her own personal water park. It's a wonder she let's us use them at all.

Whenever she hears me heading into my um, human litter room, she leaps onto the bathroom counter and campaigns for me to turn on her faucet. We call it sippy sink. It's the reason I rarely have spotless mirrors, as she likes to shake it off when she gets her head wet.

These are the views I usually see from my, err, throne.

I find it's a good place to spot any floofy knots. I'll admit it, I'm also powerless to reach around the door and give a little tock tickle, cause who can resist a tock tickle? Fin. She hates me messing with her cataloons.

  3. Mom Paula: Praline used to do that all the time. She actually liked me to fill the sink so she could drink the water, then I had to empty it and start all over the next time.

  4. Ooo Fin, we need to run off together and find a nice sink to call our own...

  5. You're doing a good job as staff to Fin. She gets what she wants when she wants it, and that's as it should be!

  8. According to GG, the bathroom sinks are categorized as "countertops" and therefore are off-limits. Page 2 section one of the townhouse rules & regulations. (stupid) But, the bathtub is mine, all mine. I don't even need water for it to be fun. It's kind of like a kitty skateboard park.

    Enjoy your sippy spot!

  12. The Mommy says, 'gee, what a lovely view! hahaha' The kitties say, We can't get The Mommy to turn on the bathroom sink faucets, she will only let us drink from the kitchen faucet (as Gypsy showed yesterday). She's so mean...can we come live with you?

  16. Mamabug here.....I can so relate to this post......my Andy is exactly the same.....I can't enter that room without him showing up and jumping up on the sink closest to me....then he patiently waits for me to turn on the tap. Gorgeous pictures of Fin and her floof. xxxxxxxxx

  17. Great view of Fin!
Flynn: I'm going to tattle tail on Eric. We both like to drink from the tap and mum used to leave the sink tap trickling for us. Eric liked to sleep in the sink and his big butt blocked the plughole and mum kept finding the carpet all wet where it filled up too much with him lying in it. Yes, he really did lie in the water! Now she keeps the sink tap turned off and we drink from the bath tap instead.

  18. Our oldest does the same thing - as soon as the alarm goes of for either of us he is in there on the sink.

That does seem like a great way to check for fur mats - that way she is distracted from the prodding!

  22. We have a sister that loves to get into the sink and have the faucet turned on. That is a wonderful view of you Fin. You had better be careful, Mom might sneak up on you one day and pat that pretty tock of yours.

  27. That's too funny that you were sitting on the throne taking pictures! You sure got some great ones of her floofiness, though. That tail, those 'tocks! Irrestible!!! I like that word "cataloons" and would like to use it. I just called them pantaloons before.

  28. We think sinks are designed by cats (for cats). Most of them fit so perfectly. Just perfect for a cat to sleep in. And when you are not sleeping there is the added waterdrop bonus.

  29. Crikey does the same thing! I really think that he'd take a shower with me if I asked him to:)
