Finny here reporting fountain side. Whew, it's a little toasty.
Hey Mr Sun, I thought we decided you were going to cut back a bit.
115 degrees is really just showing off.
My porch time has been cut right down to the nub friends. I was out for just a short while this weekend before Mr Sun had his morning coffee. As soon as he got down to business it was just to hot for man or beast outdoors. Despite my encouragement it seems Mr Sun is going to be putting in a long, full week.
Dad is off and I should be living the high life on My Porch but instead we are just hanging in the house. Mom is off later this week and I suspect it will be more of the same. Sigh. Laying on the tiles and napping in the sink. Sigh.
We want Mr. Sun to take a little rest. He is working way too hard.

Fin, you are so right about Mr. Sun. We are having to stay inside most of the day too. It's usually about 100 degrees here at midnight and so dry. Let's all hope that Mr. Sun decides to take a break! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
ReplyDeletePlease, please send the 'hots' my way! There was frost on the lawn this morning and still freezing at midday. BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
ReplyDeleteI am staying in SS's bed until she comes home.
Mr. Sun has been here for too long too. We are supposed to get a break soon. When it's hot here, it's also extremely humid. Today we had a big really boomy thunderstorm and we had to hide under the bed.
ReplyDeletePHEW! That sounds hot. Yoo'd fink Mr Sun wud take a vacashun now and then wouldn't yoo? Then yoo and yoor mom cud have a staycashun, in the porch!
ReplyDeleteIt gets insanely hot where you live, Fin! Right now it is fairly pleasant here, but I expect it to get pretty bad around August or so.
ReplyDeleteBTW, sad to say, but that fuchsia feather has been attacking me for years! So I can't tell you where it came from - I even have photos of me vanquishing it at the old house, and that was at least four years ago.
Fin,
ReplyDeleteIf only it was just warm here and not -5 in the morning I would be so happy. FRost freezing the ground. I can not wait for the heat and Smudge and Spider are living near the heater like their mum. WE can always send some of the frost your way!!!
Woah... you be careful my dear, all that warm isn't good for you!
ReplyDeleteWe wish you cooler temperatures, Fin! Here it's not too bad, about seasonal, but the humidity is awful. No one has much energy!
ReplyDeleteHow about if Mr Sun come over here for a while? It had been raining everyday for 2 weeks over here!!
ReplyDeleteWe like the tiles when it's hot too. But it's not even close to that hot here!
ReplyDeleteWow. And we thought it was hot here! Be safe though Fin, and stay indoors.
ReplyDeleteSorry it has been so hot for you. It's been raining here lots!
ReplyDeleteI agree, what's up with Mr. Sun anyways? Take a break already!
ReplyDeleteOh Fin, that is really too bad. It is hot here too but not as hot as it is there. You better stay in that cool house. That darn Mr.Sun just needs to go behind the clouds. What is its problem anyway.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Fin, Mr. Sun doesn't need to be working so much overtime!! Today, here, we got the cools! Can you believe it?? Only gonna be 72 degrees today. Must be Mr. Sun's lazy brother working here...he's out but but not working quite as hard...
ReplyDeleteStay cool if you can!
Fin, we feel your pain. Our AC is out right now, so we only get a few minutes of early morning Porch Time.
ReplyDeleteStay cool Finny!
ReplyDeleteSounds like Mr. Sun is an overachiever! We've been lucky to see 80 degrees this year...I think we'd be kitty puddles if it were 115!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry it's so hot for you. We have clouds and the high 50's ... Summer is odd sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThe hots are here too. We enjoy the cool tile in the house!!

Phew! We are melting just reading about your Mr. Sun. It rained in the night for the first time for two weeks and we were so excited we sat in the middle of the lawn and got soaked. We thought the Beans would like to know, so we went in and jumped on the bed and shook ourselves over them. They must have been very pleased because they sat up really quickly.
ReplyDeleteFin
ReplyDeleteWe sympathize. It's been hot and humid here and RAINY. That hurricane out in the Gulf is causing lots of rain to come our way. Since we've getting a new roof we are wishing for the rain clouds to go away.

If Auntie is going to come for the market it had better chill out. You know I don't go for that stuff Mr. Sun
