The only cat in my family who can pull this off is Boodie. I do have a floofy tummy, but a narrow frame, so I usually (gasp!) lie on my tummy, thus hiding it.

Our mummy has something she calls 'tummy wubbles'. It's basically her, rubbing your tummy, while going 'wubble wubble wubble'
