Well friends it seems I've missed Fall altogether this year. I've reported in the past that Fall only lasts for about five hours here in the desert. It's a special day, we wake up in the morning and it's summer, in the afternoon we all gather by our TVs to watch the one tree (held in a secret location) change colors, and by the end of the day it's winter.
Seems that with all the drama here (the big bug Mom saw, Mittens, and the Chubby Tabby) and my curtailed porch time I missed it completely. Winter is here now. Sigh.
Here are a couple of porch pics of my garden, that I didn't get to enjoy...
Goodbye Fall... I'm sorry I missed you.
Mom got a chukhkle today when she spoke to a woman named SUMMER working in Phoenix fur Discover khard -
ReplyDeleteIt was 60-70 and she was getting her snowboots ready - HA!!!

PeeEssWoo: Maybe woo need a nice floofy dog to keep woo warm!
I think your winter is kinda like most of our summer, only your winter is not as wet....sigh.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have Fall here in Sydney. Nope, not even a few hours. Just cool, warm and hot seasons.
ReplyDeleteThats pretty drastic, here in the ACT we do have a significant Autumn. I loved the shades but again we are about to embrace Summer and at the meoment we are in the throes of a storm most afternoons.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what we're getting here - it alternates between triple digit temperatures (yes, in November!), and cold, rainy days. I don't mind, though - it's too dark on the rainy days, and we cats don't do much when it's so hot, so photo sessions are few.
ReplyDeleteWOW! We had no idea yoor seasons changed so quickly. Fanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou can come over here for Autumn next year Finny.
ReplyDeletePlease come and visit with me. We still have some Fall colors left for you to enjoy and we can snuggle too and watch Kitty TV. I have several good channels.

Most of our leaves are gone now, but take heart, Fin, at least you won't have 4 or 5 months of thigh-deep snow and freezing temps.
ReplyDeleteFin, you're welcome to come here. We are enjoying a lovely Fall. It's unusual for us so we love it!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had much of a fall this year because of the dry tempertatures and lack of rain. The trees didn't really turn like they used too and it went from hot weather to cold quickly. Now it's rathe warm but they say that won't last! I guess we missed fall too and ours usually lasted longer but not this time. Lots of love, Holly and mom
ReplyDeleteOh well, Winter is prime snuggling season, I hope you have a good sunpatch!

p.s. I am in my bed right now . . . under the blanket.
Sorry you missed fall, too. We have enough of it here to send some out!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a beautiful fountain, though, even if it holds water, and lots of sunny skies, Fin.
Your pal,
Tom
Sorry Finny, that you didn't get any fall. We are having fairly good weather here right now but not much color to the trees. Hope you don't get too much cold weather too soon. Take care and have a fun day.
ReplyDeleteMommy says our seasons are SUMMER, not summer, Winter, and almost summer. And that sometime we skips winter completely.
ReplyDeleteWe have a give away on our blog today. Come enter if you have time.
maybe it's on youtube!
ReplyDeleteI think we had fall here Fin, at least the leaves did fall!
ReplyDeleteWe'd be happy to send you some our our many many leaves if you want, Fin...
ReplyDeleteMommy bought long thermal underwears yesterday!
ReplyDeletePretty photos, like the lens flair. Since I'll be there soon I'm glad you sent summer away, thanks.
ReplyDeleteI hate to be the one to tell you, Finny, but I'm quite certain you don't even know Winter. He doesn't live in your neighborhood. In fact he doesn't even visit.
ReplyDeleteI'm up to my you-know-what in that cold white stuff.
mew!
