Floofy Friday

Probably should have named this post Finally Friday. It's been a long week and next two weeks promise to be long too. Mom is swamped at work - she claims.

Ho hum. Well at least I will have lots of long uninterrupted naps. Dad and I will be spending lots time snuggling. He's got some fine petting skills. Yep I'm gonna miss her.

Mom: Fin I'm not going anywhere, I'm just gonna be working late. I'll still be here to snuggle you.

Fin: Will you be here to feed me?

Mom: Well, I may not be home for your afternoon feeding, but all the others, yes.

Fin: What? That one is almost as critical as my first morning feeding! Will you tell Dad how I like my meal? I have very specific demands.

Mom: I know. Of course Sweetie, I'll write down the instructions. You're still not allowed on the table you know. Even if I'm not home.

Fin: What? Sorry I can't hear you...

We will be mixing some of our favorite classic Housecat Confidential Posts in with fresh posts for a couple weeks. I will be keeping up with your blogs, but probably won't be commenting at all. When we return to full form, I plan on having a new theme week. House Of Horrors Week - Appliances, Dad's hair in the morning, and various other household horrors. Hope you'll play with us. We can't wait to get back to business as usual.

  1. Humans! They are so thoughtless, letting their "work" get in the way of their priorities, such as our comfort! Feh. Fin, you need to pull yours in line.

  3. We can't wait for the future fun. We sure hope Mom gets her priorities in line there Fin. Keep working on her. Guess she has to earn those green papers so you can have those treats. Take care Fin and have a super week end.

  5. Oh Fin, dads never seem to take as good care of us as moms...why is that??

  6. Sorry Mommy is too busy. I can't wait to see those horror posts!

  7. It's never good when Mom is busy. Dads are okay for snuggling but ours falls short on the food and littler box chores.

  8. Your mom may be busy but you have your work to do too Fin and you manage to blog after a heavy day snoozing on the bed or on the porch.

  9. Fin!!

We hope your Dad smushes up your food correctly and leaves Mousey alone. Our Mommy left for work today and though we were pleased to be fed at 5:30, we'll miss being waited on all day. We feel your pain, too.

House of horror? oooooh, this could be FUN!

  13. your themes sound like they will be soooo much fun! We can't wait!!

Hope things ease up for you soon, that's the worst when you already know that the next few weeks are gonna be bad...maybe they will be better than you expect!

I love how Fin mentioned that Dad better know the specifications of his food....Dad's never seem to do it like the Mom's do...we just naturally KNOW!

  16. Well, Finn, I guess you can hold down the fort while your mom is gone...it seems like you've been doing it a lot anyway.

You really do look smashing on that table, forbidden or not!

Tell your mom, though, to take it as easy at work as she can so she doesn't get the sniffles again.

  18. I can't believe we haven't been here for a whole week. Sorry to hear that your mom was sick, to the degree of talking to the Kleenex box!!! She must be better now that she is working so much to the extent of neglecting you.

SS sympathizes as she is one blind bat without her glasses.

SS has also been very busy, hence the absence from visiting and blogging.

    Have fun with dad!

Thought this may cheer you up a bit, I was awarded the Incredibly Sweet Blogger award and wanted to pass it along to you, since I know how hard its been for you lately! I linked to your blog today so other folks could find you too. Hope you are having a fantastic floofy weekend! http://couponqueensthrone.blogspot.com/2011/03/yup-its-all-about-meagain.html

  22. Your mom will probably be missing you a lot while she is working extra hours...unless she has a box of kleenex at her desk...

  24. Greetings Fin,

You look real great spread out on the table and so very photogenic.

I can certainly understand it can get a bit lonely around the house when someone has to be off to work or is so swamped with work, but then the upside is we do get a lot of attention and treats upon their return and I hope you are given lots of treats and cuddles.

    Warmest regards,
    Miss Kitty and Egmont
