Well, looks like you need a day at the cat spa, mol!
We think the Furminator works well, but Teri uses a couple of combs on Spot, the one longhaired cat at Furrydance. It has rotating teeth and doesn't seem to pull as much and another with different lengths of teeth that works well for grabbing fur. Sometimes she has to put the Party Hat on Spot though (it's a cat muzzle) cuz he doesn't like his belly or anywhere near his "privates" combed.
She thinks the Zoom Groom takes too long on Spot, but the CRex love it like a massage!
We don't have a Furminator but we kind of like the Zoom Groom. Mama keeps threatening Festus with the "haircut" word. Glad us other two are short-haired!!
Mom always shied (spelling?) away from the Furminattor as it actually has sharp edges. She supposes it does cut out furs... We are very happy with the Zoom Groom. Siena is addicted to it and rolls around, exposing her belly. It's like a belly rub for her. Plus, mom uses it to clean her clothes and pillows with it - the plastic kind of attracts the furs... ; ) It's too big for Chilli, she's afraid of it. Silly Chilli. Purrs!
We love our Zoom Groom. Mum had to buy a new one cuz we wore the old one out. We like to be groomed very firmly with it cuz it is like a massage. Mum got us a furminator at Christmas and we love that too. You have to groom more gently with it but it takes all the loose fluffy undercoat out. It doesn't cut the furrs but is like a fine short toothed comb. Eric: I used to get hairballs two or three times a week, but I haven't had any since mum started furminating me.
We're with Tuck, we've never had either. Our mom is still using an old school brush on us. She should really look into something a little more up to date. Hope they don't steal too much of your purrty furs, Fin!
My pet tried to use the Zoom Groom on me recently, and I just didn't like the feel of it. Maybe you might, though. It's completely dependent on your tolerance for foreign objects being rubbed carelessly across your skin.
Well...for pure enjoyment Latte bends over backwards for the zoom groom. For effective fur fighting we find the furminator to work best (we go on the back deck). Both feel pretty nice but the zoom groom is more enjoyable while the furminator works to keep the fur gone longer.
Your floofy furs are looking a little bit wild in that photo! I have never used either because my furs are pretty sparse and I would not like to have bald spots (I already have a few).
Oh no! You are right to scream! We hope no one will be messing with your awesome fur! Thank you so much for coming to our blogoversary party! It just wouldn't have been that much fun without you. We hope you had a really good time too and not too much of a 'nipover'! The Cat Realm
We love that picture of you. Wow, that's a LOT of floof! We just use a regular brush, but Mom wants to buy something better. It sounds like the Zoom Groom will work better for us, since we have short hair.
We love the Furminator! :) We've never heard of the Zoom Groom you speak of!

We love the furminator, but we've never tried the zoom groom, so to be fair we'll have to give that a try!
ReplyDeleteI think for a floofy like you, the Furminator is the way to go. I want to get one for Cosmo, but they're really expensive here.
ReplyDeleteFin= Gorgeous Cat :)
ReplyDeleteFurminator would be our choice also. You do look very pretty with all your floof though Fin!
ReplyDeleteMom is thinking a Furminator is what she needs for Monty dog! We love all your furs!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a Furminator but we kind of like the Zoom Groom. Mama keeps threatening Festus with the "haircut" word. Glad us other two are short-haired!!

ReplyDeleteWe just gotz our bloggy, come on over cuz we wantz ta meet sum frienz.
We love our Zoom Groom but we don't know what a Furminator is. It sounds a bit like Terminator - so it's scarey!
ReplyDeleteNobody is allowed to touch my furs except me. My brother poo-face Salvador liked the Zoom Groom though.

We like the furminator! In fact, we all need a haircut today too!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried either. They both sound a little scary...

ReplyDeleteYou look outraged in that picture. We have never tried either of them so we're not sure. The shed-ender is kind of nice though.
ReplyDeleteFurminator look too askeery to Mom so she bought us the Zoom Groom. We love the Zoom Groom!
ReplyDeleteMy pet tried to use the Zoom Groom on me recently, and I just didn't like the feel of it. Maybe you might, though. It's completely dependent on your tolerance for foreign objects being rubbed carelessly across your skin.
ReplyDeleteFor me, that tolerance is way low...
We need to get one of these furminators. We like your expression in this pic.

Definitely the furminator!! Happy Friday and weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe don't know the furminator and we're not sure we like the sound of it. We like our fur. Zoom Groom it is (hat tip to Quiltcats).
ReplyDeleteLeave all natural. Dont mess with purrfection. What a great photo. The yawn and the fluff in one shot.
ReplyDeleteYour floofy furs are looking a little bit wild in that photo! I have never used either because my furs are pretty sparse and I would not like to have bald spots (I already have a few).
ReplyDeleteNeither one! I prefer to groom myself and yack up any extra furs that don't go all the way down!
ReplyDelete--JB
I use both, I don't like the furminator on my tummy.
ReplyDeleteWe got a new Furminator yesterday, so we vote for it!
ReplyDeleteI want to thank you for dropping by and wishing me a happy birthday! We still love all your beautiful furs!
ReplyDeleteI purfurs neither, but then, I's not as floofy as yoo. *scuffs paw* Good luck in the kwarter finals, Fin. Yoo is furry cute too.
ReplyDeletePurrrrrrrs,
Sanjee
Fin? Are you in there? ::pat,pat,pat:: Fin?
ReplyDeleteAnycat know where Fin is? This is just a big pile o' fur! Where's Fin?
Oh no! You are right to scream! We hope no one will be messing with your awesome fur!

ReplyDeleteFurminator all the way!!! I love mine!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have either. But look at all that floof.
ReplyDeleteI've never used either one, so I can't comment. My mom has used a brush and comb on me since day one.
