We've recently been negotiating here at the H.C. on whether or not to dive in and Twitter.
"What would we say and how often would we say it?" Mom wonders.
I see no lack of commentary on my part, between us we rarely lack for something to say. Interesting, that might be more of an issue.
"Will it take a lot more time?" She wonders.
Who cares, it's not like you have a job... what's that... oh you do have a job? Oh. Well that explains a lot of things around here.
"Can we be funny in a 140 characters?" She wonders.
Sometimes you're not funny with a lot more than 140 at your disposal Mom, I'm just saying.
So friends I've created a little poll to see what you think we should do.
Ok, I personally don't use Twitter, but I think that as long as you are still blogging then it is fine - but I would miss you if you stopped and went to all Twitter. I signed up, put up one post like 2 years ago and never Twitted (Tweeted, Twittered, whatever) again, but it certainly can't hurt to try it. But again, just don't stop blogging!
ReplyDeleteMy mom put her foot down...I have to choose only one...so that's why I blog...I can only get so much help around here! We think you should do what you like, but please don't stop blogging! If you make birdie noises, I might chase you...
ReplyDeleteYou'll have such fun on Twitter and make lots of new friends! It's also great for letting others know when you've got a new blog post up.
ReplyDeleteHi, I'z Henry, but a lot of my friends call me Quadpawd. I am on twitter and love it. My late brother and I started a website called Cats Who Twitter that lists over 900 cats who actively twitter. There also interviews and other activities on the site that everyone seems to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I voted that you should join twitter. It's tons of fun, and you will make lots of cool anipals.
Hope to see you there!
Don't worry, dear Fin, about how often you'll tweet, twit, twitter. Just be yourself and we'll all enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI twitter and tweet. It's fun. I vote yes. By the way, stop by my blog Tuesday and pick up an award! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI just srated. I tweet once a day. It seems to be enough. If I ever get my own iPhone, I'll tweet more.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you don't stop blogging! I am just getting to know you!
ReplyDeleteI Tweet. Only when I feel like it though.

We've been considering Twitter too (as an added thing to our blog) but Mom never has time for anything so she set up the name and hasn't done anything about it. If you're there, we're following you!
ReplyDeleteWe just dropped by to say hi. We wishes we didn't have fleas here. ~Socks, Scylla, Charybdis & Fenris
ReplyDeleteDon't give up blogging to twitter PLEASE! We'd miss you!
ReplyDeleteWe think twittering seems a bit of a waste of time - people just seem to spout drivel for want of something to say. We'd rather see a nice blog post wiv photos any day of the week.
Smooches!
Milo and Alfie xx
We are on twitter, we don't update that often so it takes hardly any extra time at all!!
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't hurt to try it out. You only have to do it as much as you want to.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry friends it's not either or, I love to blog!
ReplyDeleteI leave the tweets to my human pet. I don't get enough computer time as it is, and this way, she can at least say I tried sharing. It's less arguing between us.
ReplyDeleteWe have a twitter account, Fin...and we tweet...but not regularly like some of the other tweeting cats we know. It is fun cuz sometimes there are pawtys that you can go to...mom sez it doesn't hurt to have a twitter account even though we don't tweet on a regular basis....
ReplyDeleteWe love blogging the best!
...Mom says i'd eat the twitt & the tweet...i'm such a bird boy you know...but i say GO 4 it...and let us know!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're trying to figure out if we should Tweet or not, too. Our Mama got a new iPhone Saturday, so maybe we should give it a try!
ReplyDeleteI voted Yes! Twitter takes hardly any time at all, and there is a huge cat twitter community out there.
ReplyDeleteAlso, we use TweetDeck which is a great application for Twitter. You can set up columns for separate groups so it's much easier to follow. For example, we have a group set up just for our animal pals.
We tweet...maybe not enuff, like a couple times a week but da parties and stuff on twitter are fun! And we made lots of new frends who stop by our blog too. We say go for it, it's not like yoor gonna be forced to do one or da other. Oh, and mom sez dat 140 word limit, it's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteTweet tweet!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell we thinks all new gadgets are fun and we thinks your momma should tweet. I mean if she does not like it she can just delete it or not use it... haha my momma used it for like a week.. then no more.. but it certainly would not hurt for your momma to try it :) It's free!

Hey Fin, we decided to go ahead and get a Twitter account! It really is fun:)
ReplyDeleteTwitter is great! Mom still thinks of making one for me, but lately she has no time to do it ><
ReplyDeleteSure you will be funny in 140 characters!

Mom really disliked Twitter. Hundreds of people started following us immediately and before you know it all Mom heard was tweets of peoples and cats we did not even know. Sorry. We know lots of people like it.... but it's not for us.
ReplyDeleteoh no! don't do it!
ReplyDeleteWe have a twitter account and have posted only a few tweets, but it's fun to check in every once in a while in the evenings and see what kitties are tweeting about. We follow mostly kitties and they tweet some pretty hilarious stuff. Some kitties use it to promote their blog posts, some use it to promote worthy causes, and some just post funny or interesting stuff. I think you would be a great addition to twitter, and you definitely must let us follow you. (Sorry we haven't commented in a while. Explorer wouldn't let us comment, so we finally switched to Firefox.)
ReplyDeleteI'm not on Twitter. Jen says that she just doesn't have time for it. A lot of people seem to like it though!
ReplyDeleteI've already told you, sisters don't let sisters tweet, just say no!
ReplyDeleteAny creature that makes bird noises around here gets introduced to the gums of Gerry or the mighty fangs of Oliver or myself.
ReplyDeleteWe think this Tweeting could be dangerous, vigorous hunting cats may get confused.
