On the Fence

Our family has been so sad over all the events in Japan the last few days. At times it's felt like the sadness would pull us down like an emotional tsunami. I usually try to keep things light and fun here at the H.C. and Mom and I were trying to decide between posting about being sad or trying to help everyone feel a little better by making you laugh (or at least trying to, as we do each time we post).

I didn't feel my best on Sunday, but I'm fine now. Dad is having some facial pain, but he is doing okay too. So we decided that we would focus on the good things in our world, and not on all the things that are so sad, to embrace life, love and laughter.

Today we send out our love and purrs and hopes that things are going to get better very soon.

Tomorrow, back to business as usual.

I think it will be good to have some cheering up, too Fin.

It's very important to post something positive, to balance out the suffering of the world. It's easy for us (for the mom, anyway) to get pulled down but the thing is, one more suffering, sad, depressed person (or kitty!) on this planet is not able to help anyone or anything else.

There is too much sadness in the world right now. Those pretty yellow flowers are needed to bring a bit of sunshine back into our lives. We are glad you are feeling better. We hope your dad's facial pain eases.
Word verification is ourfin. It must be paying attention today because on Sammy and Andy's blog it was judimom.

Thank you, Fin, for reminding us that amidst all the sadness, we can still see beauty.

thank you for sharing this lovely sentiment.

I hesitated yesterday about posting a funny post in light of everything that was taking place. I decided that laughter is important medicine, it doesn't take away from how much we care and how much we want to help or how much help we will give. Laughter only takes a moment and it is much needed!

Oh Fin, I think everyone is thinking just like you are. But it is so healthy to be positive and try to be happy for what we do have. Those flowers are very pretty. Take care and try to have a happy day.

We hope Japan will be spared further devastation and that the death toll will rise no more. Our purrayers go out to all of them.

It's important to focus on good, positive things whenever we can. It doesn't detract from the seriousness of the bad stuff, but it helps us all to cope. Hugs from all of us to all of you.

What a beautiful post Fin! It has been very hard to be cheerful with all that is going on but we have to stay as positive as we can. The flowers are so pretty! Lots of love, Holly and mom

Finny, we felt the same way too, that's why Johnny did a silly post on Sunday. To cheer us up.

We hope you are back to your usual naughtiness, and purrs for your Dad!

Fin, we think that even if things are really bad in the world, you gotta try and stay upbeat and positive. We're glad you and your dad are doing okay now. And we're purring real hard for all those affected by the terrible earthquake and tsunami.

Awww Fin, thank you for the love and purrrs, I too am worried about the people in Japan, I have a few readers there so I am hoping they are well and saddened by the loss of so many lives, both human and animal. Thank you so much to you and your mama for being a bright spot in our days. :)

We feel bad posting light and funny things sometimes too, but we know how important it is to stay positive.

That was a wonderful and heartfelt post, Fin. We, too, have very heavy hearts about the crisis in Japan.

A week behind, but that was a beautiful post, Fin. We feel bad for Japan too. Thank you for the pretty flowers.
Our Snowee passed away on Feb 28, but Mom and I are doing OK. I hear Mom mumbling about bringing a kitten in, so I won't be alone while she's at work. I don't like being left alone, but I'm not sure about this kitten thing.
