Each day when my parents leave the house they assign me a duty, like these:
Be a good kitty
Keep Mom safe
Watch over your Dad
Well I'm no slacker, so I'm right on them. I take on each assignment with great diligence, but would it kill them to give me something like these to accomplish?
Well they can't expect you to take on those duties without you receiving some consideration (ie extra treat) for your efforts, otherwise you don't have a contract and you don't have to do the assigned duties.

Your list is pretty good, Fin, we hope our Mommy takes it into consideration. She usually tells us to have a good day, so we guess that's better than a lot of bad chores...
Oh, we do the same thing when we leave - we will tell them "your in charge of watching the couch" or something like that. It usually depends which cat it is and where they are located.
If humans could get on the same pages as us...ALL would be right.

You're right. Humans usually have their priorities mixed up.
ReplyDeleteHumans are silly...at our house Grete dog is usually instructed to "babysit". Really?
ReplyDeleteIf Grete goes with mom and dad, presumably to "babysit" them...then my momma Ellie is put "in charge".
Well, you certainly deserve those things!
ReplyDeleteMummy always tells us "no parties". We don't listen to her.
ReplyDeleteThe latter are taken for granted by the humans.
ReplyDeleteI don't get assigned duties as SS knows I wouldn't pay any attention to her commands - I just do what I feel like.
We are suppose to watch their stuff. Then mom always is always worried that they forgot to lock the back door.
ReplyDeleteI like your list better Fin.

Yep, we vote for your choice efurry time!
ReplyDeleteYour list seems much better to us, Fin!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say hello from your new friends Brian, Sascha, Gracie and Zoe.
ReplyDeleteThe second ones are easier to accomplish, aren't they, Fin??

We think you should lots of extra treats for all the hard work you have to do.
ReplyDeleteWe agree, Fin! A good worker needs incentive.

ReplyDeletePurrs and hugs,

My Dad always tells me to "be good" too. Really, I mean, that's completely unnecessary...I'm always good!

The secret of keeping an employee happy is assigning a fun task along with a more difficult task!
ReplyDeleteOh, we do the same thing when we leave - we will tell them "your in charge of watching the couch" or something like that. It usually depends which cat it is and where they are located.
ReplyDeleteWhat a yoke you carry, Fin!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very valid protest dear Fin!
ReplyDeleteJen tells me similar things when she leaves. I just ignore her...
