I highly recommend the sink as a bed when it's this hot out. I almost wouldn't mind if someone turned on the water. Never mind, I would hate that, at least while I was napping - but I do love to sip from the stream!
Can I get a little Friday amen? This week has been pretty rough for Mom at that place she calls work. She was up late and in early. I can't wait for things to return to normal, and back to visiting. I've been extra generous in allowing her to give me extra pets and scritches. I think it soothes her, I don't mind it either of course.
I used to sleep in the sink all of the time. It's just too much trouble to jump up on the counter now.
ReplyDeleteI like the sink too!
ReplyDeleteI like getting in the bathtub! The humans in this house take showers, and the bathtub is always dry... well mostly! I hope things get back to normal for you and your mom!
ReplyDeleteOur Tigger likes to sit in the sink in hopes that someone will turn it on a little :)
ReplyDeleteHugs from the topcatrules girls. :)
You're a generous kitty, Fin:) We hope your mum gets to have a nice relaxing weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe're definitely sink cats too! And not just when it's hot!
ReplyDeleteOur Mom is happy it's Friday too! We hope your Mom's work gets back to normal!
Amen! T.G.I.F!

I'll give you a little "TGIF", which is basically the same thing! Fin, you look fabulous posing in the sink. You have placed yourself "just so" -- you're just great at modelling. And, of course, you are soothing to your mama. Petting kitties is supposed to lower blood pressure, even!
ReplyDeleteYou look so at home there! I've not tried the sink. I'm more a bath guy. Scares Tommy when she slides the shower door and there I sit...PRICELESS.
ReplyDeleteMum says to your mum TGIF!
ReplyDeleteHuffle Mawson
The sink can be a great spot to nap. I've never done it, but my momma Ellie has and she said it's ok, but not as ok as mom's lap.
ReplyDeleteHope things get a bit less crazy at your mom's work.
We like the sink too...but no water please! Fin, did you know there is a whole website dedicated to cats in sinks? catsinsinks.com.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day and hope things settle down with your mom....
Oh Fin! Are you comfortable?
ReplyDeleteI think so, because you're very cute in this picture =)
That looks like a pretty good napping spot!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
It is really important to give them some nice soothing when the weeks are difficult. Sink napping is awesome!
ReplyDeleteChase
You look very comfy there, Fin! We've never gotten much into sink naps, dunno why. But The Mommy keeps the kitchen faucet dripping full time just for us! (Mostly for Roxy and Pixie, the rest of use usually just use the water bowl.) We're so spoiled...and we have her well-trained. *grin*
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your mom has been working so much, that's no fun!
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
We love the sink too! We don't sleep in it though ~ we just hang around in it and drink form the tap!
ReplyDeleteWe both like napping in the sink too. Mum used to leave the tap dripping for us to drink, but we used to lie under it and shake our wet furrs everywhere so now she leaves the bath tap dripping instead.
ReplyDeleteAllie loves to sleep in the sink too. Cousin Trooper drinks from the tap too!

We think that it's so funny when kitties sleep in sinks! We've never tried it.
ReplyDeleteAMEN Fin!!! So glad it's now Caturday.
ReplyDeleteAMEN!!! The sink is a nice, cool place to cool down when the HOTS are all around you! I send you and your mum a deep, rumbly sort of purrrrrrrr.
ReplyDeleteAmen for Fridays! it is Sunday now, but we love Friday!!
ReplyDeleteMathilda says hi, and agrees that the sink is the best place to be! And by the way - you look gorgeous, as always! ;-)
ReplyDeleteKeep cool, my nasty SS would surely turn the water on if I curl up in the sink as you do.
ReplyDeleteNone of our cats sleep in the sink. Floyd used to at our old apartment, but he stopped after he was about 2 or 3 years old (and he is 14 now). I always liked when he did because it is fun to go in the bathroom and find a cat. I think your advice to do it to stay cool is wonderful!
