Halloweenie

Hi Friends, I'm reporting from the closet. At this very moment Candy Grubbers are at my door. My own father is handing them treats for ringing my doorbell and scaring me.

I just barely got my dinner down when the first pack of sugar marauders arrived. At this point I have missed my mid-evening snack and my evening snuggles.

You know what that means... looks like Mom is going to get a middle of the night wake up call... or two. I was practicing my leap from the nightstand onto the hip last night, and I'm ready for business. I'll just need to limber up first, can't be too careful. I guess I should take a long nap so I'm not too tired.

I know some of you might be feeling a bit bad for Mom, but you shouldn't. You see Her Cheapness did go back to Petsmart to see if the cat-sized fairy wings were on the clearance rack. Luckily for me they were bought by some other poor cat's parents. ::Shudders::

Oh and by request... behold the mighty Cyclops Pumpkin!

Goodbye scary holiday, until next year.

  2. Fin, that pumpkin...you sure live with some strange People!
Um, Mommy says that was prolly her that bought the wings. For $2.99 on sale, plus tax. She'd be willing to do a deal...

  5. I don't do costumes, so I don't blame you. Mom didn't do trick or treating this year, so I was spared all of the little goblins at our door.

  6. I got lucky. My people banished the little monsters this year. It was nice and quiet...

  8. Dodged a big fairy wing bullet, didn't you Fin!
    That was close.

I'm with you on this ridiculous holiday. From cat ears on humans to daunting doorbells...sheesh.

Wake mom up tonight and make her pay.

    xoxo

  10. Wow, I got off easy today! No invaders here looking for unhealthy human treats. The costume torture was over and I my human only annoyed me a couple of times. After what you (and a lot of other kitties) had to deal with, Fin, I think you should totally wake your human up tonight!

  17. We only had 8 candy grubbers at our house...Ginger will be complaining about it tomorrow. We too don't understand why our humans reward the little goblins with candy...for disturbing our naps!!!!

Hopy you are out of the closet now Finny!

  18. That pumpkin looks scary!! Fin, we don't blame you for staying in the closet and not wanting to wear a costume. I wore a bandana and that was it. The kitties stayed upstairs and hid out. Actually we didn't even have anybody come to the door and that's a good thing because mom didn't have any candy..she would have to have handed out doggie treats instead. Lots of love, Holly and mom

  19. Wew. I'm just glad Halloween is over for another year, too. I was worried we'd have SLPs, but none showed up! The human beans shut the downstairs light off and watched TV.

  21. Something purple sounds like a good thing to me. But I must agree with you about wearing fairy wings. I will not allow anything but my collar on my person and, of course, it's purple.
