Frisky Fall

Hey, where did my fish go? I know I left them right in here...

Fall means my fountain gets shut down for the season. I may feel frisky in the fall but the fish sure don't. Don't worry though, I don't have koi breath, they'll be back soon enough. For now they are safely tucked in the fish tank, where I can keep an even closer eye on them.

Fall lasts for only about five hours here in the desert - when we wake up in the morning it's summer, in the afternoon we all gather by our TVs to watch the one tree (held in a secret location) change colors, and by the end of the day it's winter.

Okay if I exaggerate, a bit, it's cause I'm feeling frisky!

  1. Oh boy, that is a strange season, Fin! Fall goes on for a while here--it is very colorful. The blowing leaves give me and Coco the crazies!

  2. Oh Fin! This is so funny, I almost choked on my morning crunchies when I read about the single desert tree. It conjours up such a great comedy scene. You are lucky to have your own feeesh, I would love some live feeesh, but I don't think they'd be live for long.

Your gorgeous, floofy trousers have sent me into a frisky frenzy and I must now rest. Fin, you are made of pure autumn!

  3. Our fountain has no fishies in it, only tile ones at the bottom. Mom says it is kinder to the fishies that way. ::big sigh::

  4. Heehee... that's funny. At least we have more trees, but they don't change color. Treater says we don't have Fall and Spring, either, just a really short Winter ("don't blink...") and a very.long.hot.Summer.

  5. Only five hours of Fall? How long is your winter? 86 minutes?

  6. Jimmy Joe - Leaves rustling tend to make me nervous - not a big fan of the wind.

Whicky - I'm glad you laughed it is almost just that way. The fish are rather large and I prefer mine from a can. Enjoy your nap!

Poor G & G I saw your fountain in your post and I hoped it was not always so dry.

    Parker - Well pretty close!

Spooky - That sounds pretty close to our season here too. I'm forgetting where you live, I'll be by to see in a minute.

Goldie the Apricot Cat - Well winter is one of two seasons here so it last about three months, then a week of spring and right back to summer.

  7. So you have fish too, eh? And in danger, eh? Oh Fin, I'd love to be one of the floofy sisters, but how shall I call you? I think all opposites of "little" are somehow rude sounding, or is it my English?

    Have a great frisky day!
    Siena, your LSIF

P.S. Ehem, what do you mean with "managing the floof by yourself"? Does that mean you're not getting brushed? My human insists on brushing me and I hate it!!!

  8. Let us know please when you find that tree, as we too, would like to see one changing. That never happens here...

  9. We do not really have Fall or Winter where I live, either. This makes me a little bit sad.

  13. You are so funny, SIF! The autumn here in Sydney is not very noticeable. Not even one tree changes its colour. Spring is very colourful, Summer stinking hot in the day and winter is mild to cold.

We don't have any fish in my fountain/pond, :sigh:

  16. LSIF - You may call me BSIF as long as we are clear I'm not Big in that way. I refuse to be brushed and will issue bities with or without warning if attempted.

Zoolarty - We are still looking.

Daisy - Winter only lasts about a week here.

Island Cats - Okay but you have to feed THEM not the other way around.

Ernie's Voice - I can't wait to see how it turns out.

    Thanks Jelly Bean!

Hello SIF MoMo sounds like fun over there. I'll bring you some fish.

VV - A cute football? Snuggles

    Whimpurrs thanks for the invite.

  17. I'm so glad you were able to fit in some friskiness into your five hours of Fall. You are so lucky to have fish to torment...uh, I mean watch from a respectful distance.
