Are we done yet?

Dear Mr Sun,

I think we need to have another chat again.

It's supposed to be Fall. I know you're usually still hitting it pretty hard in September here in the desert, but really - a whole week over 100 degrees? It's almost October for Cod's sake.

I couldn't help but notice you're slaking off a bit on your hours too, but you're really going above and beyond while you're in the office.

How about you keep you're old hours but slack off a bit while you're there. Maybe take a few naps at your desk, or a long lunch and extended breaks. Maybe surf the Internet and read some blogs, like mine, instead of putting in all the hard work?

Let's get it together okay? Pretty soon it'll be Winter and you know you barely phone it in then. Spread yourself out Pal.

Sincerely,

Finny Da Floof

  1. Oh Fin, do be careful. Mr. Sun has slacked off here and me and mom are a bit chilly in the early evenings and when we first get up. We have to snuggle extra deep into our red bankie.

  2. Fin, we are TOTALLY with you! Mommy took the week off and she's eight kinds of hissed at the heat.
She's had to force herself to drink cold adult beverages. What punishment.

  3. Fin, time for you to come visit me! The weather is purrfect here.

Mr. Sun has work/life balance in check in our home town.

  4. Yowie Fin! 100 degrees is simply unacceptable. I sure hope your Mom has got the air conditioner going strong. I'm all for laying around in sunbeams, but that's ridiculous.

    xoxo,

  6. Fin, you think it's bad where you are - we had 110+ weather yesterday! We SoCal kitties don't mind the heat usually, but that was just excessive. Seriously, it was like being in Nevada.

  8. We understand how you feel. Our summerlike heat has finally dissipated. Not as hot as you've had, but we've been panting. It feels really good to go out in the yard now.

  22. So Mr. Sun has been over at your place this past week. Could you direct Mr. Sun to shine some of his golden beams over the midwest? That'd be purrrrfect. It's kinda getting chilly, and the leaves are starting to fall of our trees.

  23. Do we know all about the heat having suffered here ourselves. Today it was slightly better but it is still hot.

    Hope you will survive.

    Best wishes,
