Making Lemonade

I'm sure it's no surprise to many of you that I run a pretty tight ship around here. I like routine and I don't like chaos. So last week was a bit rough for me. Mom's schedule was off and Dad's schedule was too.

My strict bedtime schedule for them was not followed, my wake up schedule was thrown off as well, and I don't even want to discuss the confusing mess that became my nap schedule.

The only bonus was that in their confused stupors they had no recollection of who fed me and when. I only had to politely request a snack or meal and they would look confused and bring on the chow.

Yes friends when your world has given you lemons you can still find a way to make lemonade.

  1. Beans can get confused easily - it is up to us to make sure we take advantage! Good work about the food!!!!

  2. I hope your mom's and dad's schedules get back to normal soon...but hopefully their confusion and snacks/meals on demand will continue.

  3. What a great way to get extras! If only our Mom didn't work from home.

  15. Fin, we are very sorry your schedule isn't properly being followed. On the other paw, that does open the door to the extra food....

  20. You are *so* smart, Fin! Beautiful *and* clever, you got it all. We only have The Mommy so can't play that trick. On the other hand, she just leaves dry food out all day and we don't get wet food (none of us really like it when she occasionally gives it to us to try - yeah, we're weird), so it doesn't much matter for us. We're glad you're making the messed-up schedules work for you, girlcat!

    Purrs and hugs,

  26. I strongly dislike any change to the proper nap time protocol, I feel the pain there, but extra munchies are always indeed a plus! If only this worked with the proper nap/snoozing schedules. Hope things will settle down soon!

  27. What great advice!! I only eat dry food, so there is always a supply out for me. However, I do guilt them into giving me extra tuna flakes when they have been working late!

  28. Good work, my friend! I am always on the lookout for extra treats, too. Thanks for your comment, too. Did I mention Fin that you are quite beautiful!
