Tattle Tail Tuesday

Well my parent's vacation is over at last. It was nice to have them around in greater supply, but I will say it's going to be nice to get this place back into a regular routine again.

They started out keeping fairly close to the daily routine. My breakfast at 4:30 and my dinner at 4:30 but soon everything else went to heck. After my breakfast was served, Mom went back to bed and sometimes slept in as late as 8am! I know, it's shocking.

They came and went as they saw fit. Movies in the middle of the day, and trips to drive around the city at 10pm. Soon they were taking naps in the late afternoon. I had no time quiet time for Mousey.

I found getting them up to care for my needs was becoming difficult. Dad asleep in the guest room after a hard game of WWI Airplanes and Mom snoring in the big bed. I was forced to camp in the middle of the hallway and call out until someone came to my rescue.

"MEW?" Hellooooo, who will feed me my dinner?

"MEOW!" Elder grannycat starving in the hallway! I might faint soon.

Yes it's going to be good to have order restored. You can't have your parents running around like carefree kittens.

Tattle Tail Tuesday

Initially I thought this post might make it to be a Thankful Thursday post, where my slacker Mom would post all my recent awards that my awesome friends gave to me. Well instead I have to rat her out on a Tuesday.

See we read all of our friends blogs in our Google Reader, and when someone is kind enough to bestow an award, she keeps the post unread so she can go back and post them later. Well in some lack of sleep induced stupor she hit the "Mark all as read" button in error.::Glares at Mom and shakes head:: Staff! Sorry my friends, we really did feel very grateful when you gave them to us, and feel grateful every day for your friendship.

Oh and let me report this other item while I'm at it, she had also misplaced the camera for the last week Now this worked to my benefit, but still. I can't tell you how many adorable things I did last week.

Sigh. I sure hope she doesn't mess up Cat-O-Lympics.

Tattle Tail Tuesday

No, I have no idea how my new scootey mouse got in your shoe.
Maybe he scooted in there all by himself? Yeah that's it.
P.S. Mommy will have her last human takeover post tomorrow and then it's our birthday! Be sure to drop by on the 1st for treats and nip.

Tattle Tail Tuesday

Fin: In honor of Tattle Tail Tuesday, I'd like to call attention to the following:
  • I'm called a "long hair" yet Mommy's hair is much, much longer than mine.
  • I'm called a "shedder" yet I would be happy to show a side by side comparison of my hair to hers, and I think we would all see her shedding problem is just as much a problem as mine.
  • Oh, and Mommy has a coat of many colors too. There is brown and gra...

Mommy: Oh alright I get the point, I'll make an appointment at the salon.

Fin: Well if you like, I love you either way. I don't judge. Purrs.

Tattle Tail Tuesday

In the spirit of Tattle Tail Tuesday - I feel I should mention Mommy is developing a bit of an addiction problem. When we first considered blogging, we had just finished my book when we learned cats were taking over the Internet. Since I don't get out much, I was really excited to meet all the cat bloggers.

Initially, we were excited if anyone left us a comment. If they didn't leave one, we had no idea if anyone was reading our work or not. Mommy would say things like "If a blog posts in cyberspace, and no one reads it, is it really worth posting?" I convinced her to continue. Slowly but surely we started to make great friends and learn about their lives.

I think it was adding the "Hit Counter" that pushed her over the edge. Soon she wanted a hit every day, before long it took more and more hits for her to get her fix. Now she slaves over my ideas to make them just right. I tell her "Look, just say that a cold, wet paw placed on an exposed butt will wake up anyone" the kitties will get it. No need for the extra wordy business.

Mommy is ignoring her other critical house duties; petting and caring for me, explaining what just happened on TV when Daddy misses something, heck even writing her next book (even if it isn't about me - can you imagine), plus that laptop takes up valuable lap real estate.

When she mentioned that she may want to start her own blog, I put my paw down. I'm making her take the day off from posting tomorrow, and I may make her take down the hit counter too.
