Spoiled? Not Anymore.

Well, it all started innocently enough... Quill and I were enjoying our morning snack in our "Spoiled" dishes.

Then some random dude felt it necessary to ring our doorbell and knock on our front door - aggressively. Some cat got very startled and leaped from the table, using their dish as a launch pad. Said dish flew from the table and crashed onto the floor and broke - all over.

By the time Dad shooed away the evil knocker, and entered the kitchen, no cats were present.

Dad saw the dish and freaked out that one of us might have eaten a piece. Honestly why he thought we would eat it I can't imagine. He painstakingly reassembled the dish and taped it together to make sure he had all the pieces.

Well, it could be taped, but it couldn't be saved. We were all pretty broken up about it. Mom and Dad were sad cause they were Angel Fin's dishes. Quill and I were sad cause - you know - we eat out of it - and we like to eat.

Three pet stores, and internet searches later Mom and Dad had to admit the dish can't be replaced. So now we have new bowls - plastic ones. Don't worry we're still spoiled.

  1. That's sad. We think you should keep the pieces of it...or at least the biggest ones since it has so many good memories.

  5. Doorbells are pure evil! (much like the Dyson)

Hope you are all settled now.

  6. Visitors should announce themselves from the curb. None of this stuff at the door. It's far too alarming!

How sweet of your Dad to tape it back together like that to be sure all of the pieces are accounted for.

  8. One of us hates doorbells and knocks too. We're sorry your dish was broken, but hope you get good replacements (we haven't checked Connie's link).

We'd suggest NOT using plastic though, as bacteria tends to linger and this is what can lead to feline acne. (Not the actual plastic itself, so we've read.)

  12. soooo sorry about the bowl, I would have been heartbroken. Please tell Mom not to let you eat out of plastic, it causes kitty acne xoxo

  13. I agree, those doorbell things are evil. My Dad don't take kindly to aggressive door peoples.

  14. make an assemblage of the dish as a garden piece for the memories and disconnect the doorbell :D

  17. That's too bad...maybe Santa will bring you some great plates for Christmas! I hit the thrift shops for Jenna's "fancy" china ;-)

  18. Just watch that you are not allergic to the plastic. Many cats are. If you start to develop any acne on your chin, you will want to switch back to ceramic or glass. We are so sorry it couldn't be replaced. When the doorbell rings we do exactly the same thing and items have been broken. 21. We're sorry the bowl broke. :( But seems like you may be able to get a similar one from the link Connie shared. :)

Doorbells make us go all nutty too. Our bowls are all stainless steel so they thankfully can't break.

  22. Ralphie growls at the doorbell sometimes. It's so cute.

  23. I hope you got your new bowls, as what others have mentioned plastic can harbor bacteria.
When I was little my babysitter had a piece of masking tape over her doorbell and a 'NO SOLICITING- DAY SLEEPER' sign above it as she didn't want people to wake up napping kids or her husband who worked the graveyard shift. Perhaps your parents could do something similar except the sign could say 'NO SOLICITING- SENSITIVE TIGERS ON PREMISES'

    😻 Smooches!
