Keeping Warm

It's finally starting to get a little cool here in the desert. So my focus turns to keeping warm and toasty.

My most preferred methods:
  1. Spooning with Quill. Sadly I have to wait till his sleeping and then tuck against his floofy tum. It works great till he wakes up, then I have to act like it was a mistake.
  2. Cuddles with Dad. Delightful, but he's not around as much.
  3.  Drafting heat off Mom. At night I wait till she turns over and then tuck into the warm spot along her back - it's awesome.
  4. Cuddles under the cover with Mom. I can't stay under there for long but it's good for a quick warm up and it makes Mom so happy.
  5. Running around the house like a crazy boy! Fun!!
What about you friends? What do you do to get warm?

  1. I've been crawling under the covers and sleeping next to the mom at night. I love it...until she has to get up in the morning. ~Ernie

  2. Nice list, Lil' G! We draft heat off of our mom and dad, too!

  3. I think fall is one of my favorite times! Between racing around and getting cozy, what more could a kitty ask for?

  4. I like to squeeze in between my mum and dad. The thick winter duvet makes a nice cosy nest, but I have to be careful not to get squished.

  5. We have a lot of warm blankies here. Only one good window for the best sun. And of course, the big electric blankie.

  8. Humans are good for warming, but a human with a heating pad is awesome! Their whines about us leaning on the owie knee that the pad is on only sings us to sleep, hee hee!

  9. We get on the bed with the Mom and snuggle up against her. It gets a little crowded but that makes it even warmer. We sometime cuddle together too.

  10. Ladybug here. I won't cuddle with my fur brothers and sisters, but I love Mama's green fleece jacket. If she's wearing it I beg to be picked up and wrapped in the fleece while I lay on her left shoulder. If she leaves it on the chair, I hop up and sleep on it!

  11. I don't see to want to snuggle too much! The humans can't understand why I prefer not to squidge myself against them! Well, maybe I do sometimes!! Mostly when it's inconvenient to them! MOL

  12. The first day of summer here and Plato and Socrates have already found the shady spots around the garden. After a winter inside, they are happy to sleep in the sun's warmth.
