Floofy Friday

Flashback

Mom found this old picture and since it was semi-seasonal (it's a poinsettia behind me) she decided it needed to be posted (despite the semi-laser eyes). See all my tabby stripes? I hardly look floofy at all. This was taken right before my first birthday, and Mom jokes that it was the golden moment - after I grew into my kitten floof and before my adult floof grew in.

Little known fact, I barely shed my first year. My parents thought they'd dodged a bullet in the shedding arena. Shortly after this photo, the floofing and shedding really kicked in. Heh, heh.

So what are you planning for this weekend? It's finally getting a little cool here, so lot's of naps are required. Maybe Mom will go get a nice book and curl up with me. She is like a nice toaster.

I wonder if we will put up a tree? Back when this photo was taken I was a tree destroying machine, ornament whapping with the paw of doom. Would I still? Time will tell, if they dare to try. I hope your weekend is filled with all the best things, whatever you have planned.

  1. You really need to warn our Mom when you post adorable kitten pictures of yourself, Fin! She nearly passed out from the cute!

  4. Fin!!! What a cute kit you were!! And we're surprised that you don't look very floofy there! Guess floof is something that gets better with age!

Have a great weekend! Our tree is going up this weekend so we'll be having lots of fun!

  5. Hello my Finny friend!

I love it... your "paw of doom!"
I sure hope you get a tree...they are soooo fun. Alas, I have to find my fun in "looking" at the tree. GG and GM are amazed at how long I'm able to stare at an ornament without touching it. I'm just keeping them on their toes.

GG is playing in another piano recital this weekend. Bach last weekend and Vince Guarldi this weekend. Cod only knows when she'll have time to help me with my next blog post. I know GM has some cool photos in his big camera, but he's taking his sweet time downloading them because they are only "cat" photos.

Have a fun filled weekend, Fin!

  15. That's another adorable photo of BabyFin! Funny, we thought the ones posted before had floof, maybe that was just the normal baby floof. Or we could just be confused. MOL

Our plans this weekend consist of hiding tomorrow, as the noisy stranger man will be here again working on the floor tomorrow (installing tile, The Mommy says). The Mommy is saying something about maybe having to go into the work thing some too, so we may be napping a lot...

    Purrs and hugs,

  16. I love baby Fin pictures! Our Angus didn't get fuzzy until about one and a half and he is still coming into his furry cheek jowels. I have found (after raising 5 in a row) that kittens in general do not shed, and short hairs shed way more than long hairs. With that said, I'll be vacuuming this weekend like every weekend. :).

  17. Wow, were you KYUTE! And no, you didn't look floofy at all! It's funny, mom "thinks" she dodged to shedding bullet with Cricket. Not one fur comes outta her. And, we hope she gets to have furry floofy furs like you!

  19. What a precious little one you were, Fin! I barely recognized you without all your floof. You can see your tabby stripes much better this way, though. It's the same with Dante -- you can't see his stripes because his furs are too long.

I hope you get a tree. Efurryone needs a tree. We're putting up ours this weekend.
