Happy Holidays - Mom Edition

A couple of weeks ago we blogged about my sister Jenny's idea of celebrating the holiday and spreading the joy to others by doing small things in public, or for strangers, in what she calls Guerrilla Holiday. She did an awesome job and you should check out all the fun things she did at her blog http://blog.jenniferlorton.com/.

Well I did it too! At the crack of Christmas Morning dawn, I Guerrilla Holidayed the Charlie Brown tree by the house. It was pretty dark and cold out so Hubby was taken aback when I got the sudden urge to make it happen.

We had all just watched a story about a town that had decided to forgo the expensive town tree and decorated a random tree in the town square. I was so touched by the sight of that Charlie Brown tre
e in all it's cheerful glory. The story of making the best out of what you have and celebrating the joy of the season. Even when you are down, you can bring joy to others and that will bring joy to you. I decided it was a commitment to myself that I needed to keep. It isn't perfect, but that wasn't what was important to me. I hope it brings a smile.

  13. Happy Holidays, Fin and Mum. That Guerrilla Holiday idea is very nice. If we all did a litle bit of it, maybe the world would be more peaceful and people would be nicer to each other.
