My Vote

It's the time of year when my parents spend a lot of time shouting at the TV. The political ads take up most of the time on the TV, and then there are all the phone calls to get their opinions. No one called for my opinion by the way which I find rude and dismissive.

I generally try to remain neutral but occasionally my parents wonder what party I would be a part of if cats could vote. Would I be a Democat or a Republicat, a Liberal or a Conservative.

After much consideration I realized I'm both a Liberal and a Conservative. I'm quite liberal when it comes to my parents distributing my treats and food, but I would be very conservative about sharing my food with others.

I hate faxes (I shred anything that comes from the fax machine's evil mouth), so I guess I'm for whoever will fax us less. Less Faxes I say.

I firmly believe in a feline’s right to choose between kibble or gravy-laden wet food. I think the choice is clear, I mean it's GRAVY, but each their own.

Wait, what am I thinking? I am a Cat! Of course I'm an Independent.

  1. Woo NAILED that one ;-)

PeeEssWoo: Hmmmm - my word is ANASIB

  2. Hah! Good point! Say...we like your thinking...shoot, we'd vote for you, Fin! ;)

This is the time of year we're glad we don't have tv!

    -Pip, Smidgen, Minnie

  3. As Independant Cats, we refuse to be governed AT ALL! We prefer anarchy. We're used to it around here.

Mommy & Daddy have had the phone unplugged for the past week...all the stupid phone calls were disturbing our naps! Not good.

  4. Greetings Fin,

What a serious night it is and we are here in California awaiting the return for Nevada and as we just learned Meg is ahead by three votes, but the evening is early.

Anyway, reading your post at least brought laughter that was much needed.

    Wishing you all the best,
    Ms Kitty and Egmont

    I love it...Less Faxes!!!
    : )

    (Glogirly's Cat)
...can I be your running mate?
...or perhaps your Chief of Cats?

  6. I think our momma totally gave up on all of the robo calls and junk mail and nasty political ads. I did hear her say to a friend that at this point, she doesn't care who wins as long as they leave her alone!

  7. We need a Kitty Party! If elected, one of the first things I would do is outlaw human elections - I mean, sheesh, my human has been looking at election results all night instead of updating my blog. That is wrong and we need to work on abolishing that.

  8. Heehheheeh - we love your "political" stand!!

    Love, Lucky & Co

  9. Fin,

That's the way all for one and one for all. That may not be right huh, good luck for the elections by the way.

  10. You are so right FIn! Myself: I vote for MISCHIEF! teehee.

  11. We think that if us cats could vote, the world would be a better place!

  12. As long as I get to remain Secretary of Socks I don't care who gets elected!

  13. That is exactly why I voted for you Fin!

  14. This mornin' momma woke up and said to us that she is so happy that the robo calls and junk mail and alla' the nasty words will stop now - at least fur a while. Then, sooner or later, the name calling will begin again in Congress!

  15. Fin, love it!!! Less faxes!!! We would vote for you to be President. You make more sense them the ones in office. Won't it be nice not to have those commercials back to back now!! Lots of love, Holly and mom

  16. Fin, you are right!! Us cats are Independents!!! And the world would be a better place if we ruled it.

  17. Well Fin, that was all well put. We don't care what party you are as long as you keep the country going in a direction to get jobs back etc. Anyway, we sure like your ideas. LOL Take care.

  18. We are independents too and we agree on the gravy!

  19. You know Fin, there seems to be a lot of interest in your platform. Perhaps you should consider going into politics!

  20. I am definately an Independicat too, Fin! You couldn't have said it better.

  21. We don't understand the whole politics thing but we always vote for more snacks!
