Mr Sun

Dear Mr Sun,

I see you've finally taken my advice from this Summer and taken a little break. I haven't seen much of you in a few days now. Luckily my grannycat skills are sharp and, even without your cues, I manage to get Mom out of that bed every morning at 4:30am.

The Cloud Family seems to have totally staked out your turf. I gotta tell you, I'm not a huge fan of them. I think that Cirrus is high, and Nimbus is a total drip. They're even covering over Lady Moon's work, and you know what a Diva she can be. I bet she is hissed off.

I'm happy you're taking some time off (maybe a vacation in Australia?), but try not to stay away too long okay. I really miss the little ones, Puddles and Patches. Maybe you could send them back with your wife Beam?

Your Fan,

Finny De Floof

  1. We hope Mr. Sun likes your letter, Fin. We really miss him and his family. Mommy is getting a little cranky and whining about moss between her toes!

Which is too gross to contemplate.

  2. Fin, you write the best letters!!! We hope Mr. Sun comes back and if you talk with him, would you ask him to visit us for awhile too? It is very cold here!!! Lots of love, Holly and mom

  3. Mom told me that Mr. Sun starts to come back to us...a wee little bit at a time starting after this week. Something about him hanging out with our Austrailian friends right now almost full time.

  4. Mr Sun is here in some parts only. There are heavy rain and flood in many regions. Yes, snow too. People living in the southeast of our state are going to have a White Christmas. And it's supposed to be summer.....

  5. How could Mr. Sun refuse your polite request? You do have a way with words, Fin :).

  7. We hope you get your sun back. We just want some warm. Every time we try to go out, that bit of snow that fell last week is still there.

  8. Mr. Sun needs to start working out. He is getting very weak over here... when he even decides to show his face!

  9. I hope that Mr. Sun listens to your request. He shows up here about every other day. He went missing all day today, so maybe he will be back tomorrow.

  10. Great letter Fin. We miss Puddles and Beams too. We had a little sun yesterday but not much. More rain coming. Maybe you should write to rain too and see if he can take a vacation. Take care and have a wonderful week.

  23. Greetings dear Fin,

We agree that the sun needed some time off but it would be nice if he made at least a short appearance since it has been raining almost endlessly these past many days.

Of course dad says we need the rain to fill the lakes so we can water the garden in the summer, but I miss my sun-puddles.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Warmest regards this holiday season,
    Miss Kitty and Egmont
