Spring

Well Spring is finally official - although in the desert - Spring is an odd concept. You might remember that poor old Fall only lasts a week here, well Spring takes about a month. Most of it is spent fighting between Winter and Summer. Generally Winter or Summer win out but every once in awhile Spring wins out for a day. Go Spring!

Sunday we had Spring for about eight hours - Saturday was Summer and today Winter is expected back. Mommy and I decided to take advantage and spent some time on my porch and I discovered a few disturbing things:

  1. Some cat has been hanging out on MY PORCH! No it wasn't Mittens, who I have come to know through the windows. I think it's a mancat because it SPRAYED MY POT! This is not going to go smoothly for you Mr Mancat - this is not over!

  2. My other enemy, The Mockingbird, has taken up residence at MY HOUSE. He parks in MY TREES and mocks me!

  3. My Birdfeeder is empty - The Mocking Bird is too fat to get in it and I am hoping that with birdy reinforcements they will drive off The Mocking Menace.

  4. MY Fountain is dry - this also helps bring the wildlife and is used as a birdbath (Mockers are not welcome).

Yep things are needing attention out in MY YARD, and I will be very busy making sure things are put right. Look at these little fellas falling down on the job...

No, they're not real - we don't have squirrels, poor Mommy.

  1. I hope that Mancat that sprayed Your Pot leaves you alone. That wasn't very nice of him. Hopefully soon your Yard will be what you like. :)

  3. Those rude outdoor mancats, urinating in public should be against the law! Your garden is pretty, just needs some spring cleaning and getting ready for the wildlife to arrive. Same with our backyard. Teri worked on it a little today but there's lots to do still--clean out the feeders and the birdbaths and think about planting some catnip...

  4. I would never spray in your pot, Fin. That's just bad manners!

  5. Oh, Fin! You have a lovely yard. We can't see much of ours 'cuz the windows only look out on the sides, not the back. We can "hear" our birdies, but we can't see 'em furry well.

What are you gonna do to get back at the spraying ManCat?

  9. That is very wrong...I cannot make excuses for a mancat peeing on your pot! He clearly has no manners. I apologize to you on behalf of feral mancats everywhere...

  10. We actually saw our neighbor mancat Remington spray our sage plant...eewww!!! Mom better not cook with it. We saw Mr. Raccoon on the backporch stealing food and Mr. Possum going for a early morning stroll. Yes, spring is here!

  13. We has a big fat rat liffing just outside our window! We'd luff to get our paws on it and effun Lussie jumped straight into the window she gotted so eggsited. Yesterday we saw someon walking a rat that was smaller than this one. Meowmie said it was a tiny woofer, but we's not too sure... We'd like to get closer to check. We luff the spring because then we can sleep in the sun.

  14. It sounds like a hard job out there in the desert. We're glad those squirrels wasn't real. That would almost be too much.

  15. That is a lot of stuff to attend too, Fin. Having your own yard is surely something that keeps you occupied! Talking of being occupied: I'm worried about LSIHF. Yesterday she had the squirts real bad and threw up ALL her breakfast behind the couch. Then she burrowed under mom's sheets, sleeping for ages. Maybe she got too excited because she was allowed outside again yesterday? Or she gnawed on a bad plant! We had to skip dinner (well I got some, but I didn't feel much like eating) and are about to have breakfast. I sure hope she's fine again! I love the little menace!
Glad, you liked the new header. Mom loved the old one but I was just too kitten-y in the picture. It was time to change...

P.S.: How's that daddy of yours doing? We are thinking of you and hope he is stable. All the best!
