Economic Stimulus

I'm a little worried about my chances in my Quarter-Final Round of Misha's Kitty Fight Club with Sanjee. She is a real cutie-pie. Maybe you can drop by and vote in the current rounds.

Well the Zoom-Groom has been purchased and tried (it was on sale). Naturally - I hate it. The fact that I sit still and/or move to allow the hated object to get a better angle should not distract from my loud mewing protests. Rubbing my face against it isn't an indication I enjoy it - instead focus on the biting, er, nibbling that can happen when I get over-stimulated.

"Her Cheapness" didn't spring for the Furminator - yet. It wasn't on sale. Yes, Mommy's ability to pinch a penny is so legendary that her friends discuss it in the third person (Example: I know Your Cheapness won't let you buy that). I never thought I would appreciate Her Cheapness, but I do now.

  1. LOL...that is pretty funny. My mom is cheap with some things...but I can always get her to spend lots of money on me!

  4. We already voted for you, Fin!

Our Mom is the same way but she's seen how well the Furminator works so she's pretty sure she's actually going to buy it this time. Good luck with your Mom :)

  5. We voted for you Fin! By the way, my mom is cheap! We don't have a furminator or anything.... just one of her old brushes! Me and Monty dog are the ones who gets the most mats.

  6. Mummy is too stingy to fork out for the Furminator, too (they're really expensive in NZ). She really wants to get one for Cosmo, though.

  7. Hmmmh...are you sure you hate the Zoom Groom? It sounds like you might like it a little. "Her Cheapness" sounds like a very good shopping buddy.

  8. Mom says I'm not supposed to reveal who I voted for...but the first initial is "F"...just a hint.

My mom looked at the zoom groom at the store, but since we already have the furminator she says we're "done" buying grooming tools for now. So then why did she go and buy a new claw clipper?

  9. We don't get any of those fancy things. Human hands is all. And we are lucky we got some prices with toys in it, and friendly cats sending us Secret Paws - otherwise we would have to play with ricks and wildlife only!
So what would be the heightening of "her cheapness"?
    P.S. what is a Furminator?

  10. Our mom makes her frends say things like "squeezes a penny till it cries" and "she recycled before anyone knew what it was"...cuz mom is che, er, frugal that way. That said, we have a nice soft bristled brush, a zoom groom and da furminator! Zippy will only take da brush a little bit, Sadie loves any kinda brush..even an old hair brush and Speedy likes da soft brush and da furminator. We're lucky we all haf short furs.

  14. Your mom sounds like our mom. We don't have a furminator or a zoom groom.

    We voted for you!

  15. You don't like the Zoom Groom? Mine sends me into ecstasy! I love the furminator too but I hope the weather doesn't turn colder again because mum took half my trousers out.

  16. We think you might grow to love your Zoom Groom - just give it time. But make as much fuss as possible when you're zoom groomed so you get treats!

  17. There's nothing wrong with being cheap, Fin...unless you get a Zoom Groom to the head over it. I feel for you. I don't enjoy that thingamajig either.

  18. Give the Zoom-Groom some time. You will get used to it. Maybe some treats during the process will help.

  19. Our mom wouldn't pay full price for ours either. She waited until they went on sale, and used a 20% discount coupon for it.

  20. Hmm...she must be related to His Cheapness aka the Awesome Man. However, the AM did purchase us a furminator for Christmas and it makes his life easier because he's not a fan of fur on stuff.

  21. Oh noes, and I recommended it to you! I nibble and wiggle too but keep coming back for more... I saw what the furminator did to Tristan the other day and have to admit that maybe it would do a good job on our furs. If there weren't those blades!

  22. Hey Fin, don't worry too much - you might start to like that Zoom Groom. We have a furminator and the only ones who like it are the ones that don't need it too much. Floyd isn't getting it done anymore because he is loosing too much fur being sick, but boy did he hate it when it was being used. We have switched to just a brush for him. Kirzon loves being groomed but is so so on the furminator, and Lola loves it! Virgil hates any type of combing, since he had to be flea combed as a baby so when he sees the furminator come out he not only bites it but literally attacks it! You will find something you like - you have such pretty fluffy fur you have to keep it in good shape!

  23. we hates the furminator, but it really does a good job of thinnin' out our thatch--that means we don't hafta hurl quite so much! we don't fink the zoom groom works as well, but it's much easier to chew;-)

  24. You didn't like the zoom groom?! Maybe if you give it a second chance... we love ours. Great photo!

  25. The Furminator is worth the investment, especially with all your floofiness.
