Will I?

Did I ask for a "Cat Bed" from Petsmart? No. I did not, but do you see the puffy thing my back paw is touching in yesterday's post? Go ahead and scroll down, I'll wait for you - I know you were blinded by the floof.

Yep, that's my new cat bed. I've never had a cat bed before. Mommy has asked about getting me one, but when Daddy would say "She already has a bed, the one she lets us sleep in" I always agreed with him. Oh and of course there's my sink which I love!

When Mommy brought it in, I naturally choose to ignore the bed on principle. I shun anything new just to drive her crazy. When it was on the floor of our room I wouldn't even go near it. Daddy got the idea to move it onto my hearth by Mommy's chair. In the new location , I have to admit it does look tempting. Last night I patted it with my paw - just to see what it was like (while no one was looking of course).

So what do you think friends... will I or won't I partake of the bed?

  1. Hmmmm, hard to say. The last time mom bought me a bed, I hardly had a second to even look at it before Bennette stole it for herself! I think you should at least give it a try!

PS... the word verification today is hyper...that made me laugh!

  2. make them move it all around the house, try out all the spots and then ask them to put it on their bed in between their pillows...always works for us!

  3. We have cat beds and cubes and blankets and hammicks all of that kind of stuff and we sleep in them sometimes...but most times we sleep on mom and dad's bed...we think you'll partake of your new bed sometimes too...

  4. You might realize how soft it is and sleep in it sometimes. I think your bed (the one you let the parents use) will be your main one though.

  5. Hmm, maybe only for short naps. You need the luxury of a bigger bed for your prime time sleeping.

  6. I think you'll like it during the day, but I bet you'll want to be in the big bed at night with your Mummy and Daddy.

  8. I ignore beds whenever mum is around. But there is always a mysterious supply of tortie hairs on it in the morning... :)

  10. Maybe it has too much like a store smell? I personally like the towels mom lays down, or the back of the chairs and couches!

  11. We have one bought cat bed and it sits on the window sill, so naturally we use it. We think your mom has to find the purrfect location, then you'll might use it. Of course we love our paperboxes with a blankie thrown in too... And Siena adores the sitting cube.

  12. Hmmmmm hard decision. Use it intermittently when it suits you - it'll drive 'em nuts! I used to use my bed all the ime but now Alfie uses it - but only when he feels like it!

  17. I never used the bed my pet bought for me, and now, guess who gets to use it? This is what happens when you don't use things the humans buy for you - they buy puppies so the items can get used.

I highly suggest you sleep on the bed.

  18. Yes, I think you'll enjoy your new bed, Fin. We have 2 cat beds and we all use them from time to time.

  19. Hmm... This is hard one. You don't want to use bucause she wants you to use it, and you already have a nice comfy bed. But maybe you should try making the new bed look like your idea.

  20. You should try it, Fin! I think beds are just divine, and I sleep in mine day and night:) ~Tristan

  21. I don't know about you, but I really like my bed. The guy my Mom's married to doesn't let me sleep in their bed so I have my own bed to sleep in at night. I like that it sits up high on the rocking chair so I'm off the floor and can see around the room better. The best place to sleep though, is my Mom's lap, but I can't stay there all night because she eventually goes to bed herself.

  22. Well, I took a poll of my cats - 3 think you will eventually learn to love the bed, but one thinks it will be abandoned. Virgil is the naysayer - I think because he has a bed that he slept in exactly twice and then decided to move on to other places. But as the human in the group I think you will LOVE it because it looks really comfy.

  23. All she needs to do is toss some nip in there and you're in! New things are always suspicious at first, but we bet you'll find you enjoy it.

  24. PeeEss: About the Furminator you mentioned yesterday....I have one and I absolutely LOVE it! It weeds out all the loose hair and I am silky soft afterwards!
Mom likes to use it outside since so much hair comes off me, she can just let it fly away in the winds. I bet some birds have my nice floor lining their nests! -Shaggy

  25. I think you might not use it. I do not use any of my beds! This makes my Mommie buy more different beds hoping to find one that I like. I have several now.
